BHO - Couple of questions

Hi everyone, I'm planning on trying to make my first BHO. Couple of questions:

Is it possible to use wet or fresh bud or should I dry it first?

I have three plants that got some fungus on them and I figured this would be better than wasting the hard work.

Have about 6 or 7 more cola's like this that I'm going to do along with trimming... I'm very new to this, is that a lot? Should I do the bud separate from the trimmings and have two different batches? If it is a lot what is the best way to be doing it? Thanks!!!

When making BHO, ALWAYS use DRY starting material!!! You dont wanna rush it, since better/properly cured flowers will create the best results

Nugs will yield slightly more than sugar lear and a better quality sap, so run them seperate...

Speaking from expirence....the fresh flowers will yield less a lighter color oil that was a harsher taste and has a "headier" buzz and the dried/cured buds will yeild a slightly more tan/amber oil thats smoother with a taste like a concentrated version of the buds used with a more all around high like good bud gives. It comes down to letting all the cannabinoids, sugars and such breakdown into the correct form for extraction haha. And like thrichmasta said the fresh flowers might blow through the filter at the end and even could freeze inside the tube and not let the tane through..
