Between Waterings

Method 1

After watering for first time lift pot to feel the weight. Check by lifting pot, when it is significantly lighter. Water more.

Method 2

Invest in a moisture meter (Duh?)

Well wait a moment... I did and it is the type that you stick in the soil and the tip measures the moisture. That is where my first question comes in. Where do you stick the meter (how far from the plant) and how deep (is it depending on the stage of growth or is it just measure the bottom regardless) NEXT question, Do I wait till the soil is DRY for a day before watering again, or should I wait only until it just begins to register dry?

Sheesh I am leaning towards method 1, LIFT POT is it light? Yes=Water NO=Don't Hmmmmm is also a very cheap method too. OPinions EVERYONE

put that tip all the way to the bottom slowly, it should read dry the whole way down, if it does water, if not don't.

when using my moisture meter i place it at 4 points around the pot not just the one ie north, south, west, east...as one side may be damp yet the other dry

i will normally wait in till it reads 2 on the dry side on all the points then water the next day i also try and give my plants just enough water to last 2-3 days then once every 2 weeks i soke them and give them a good drink

may have only been growing for 6 weeks but thats how i have been doing it and so far so good

Well I am on day three, of not watering (A spritz every now and them but a light misting). a finger sample says moist. Meter confirms moist to wet in most spots letting it go will check again tomorrow.
