I recently purchased the 3 gallon kit to vacuum purge my BHO. The kit works as advertised and can attain a 99% vacuum. I managed to break a solid brass connector to the ball valve (not a cheap piece just a dumb move on my part) and they sent me an entire replacement lid with a new hose for free and they also covered the shipping. I would highly recommend bestvaluevacs.com if you are looking for a vacuum purging system. The 3 gallon pot is a great size for purging small to medium batches. I have only purged 2.5 grams at one time but had no issues with the muffin hitting the sides, you could probably purge 10 grams or more if you are careful. For the price it would be hard to find a better system and it comes with everything you need leaving no guess work. A+ service and a great product.

I wish I could actually see the second pic and check the lid out.... how much deflection are you getting in the center at full vacuum on it?

huh??? I cant even tell what youre trying to measure in the first pic, and the standard vac lid is WAY more than 1/8 thick. mine is 1/2" and approx 10" diameter and gets domed in 5mm in the center under full vac..

1/8" thick lid haha..........no man it's a 1" thick lid and idk and over 12" diameter on my 5gallon. Your question was how much does it deflect. So i pulled the vac and placed my ruler on top and the placed a sticky pad to show the difference between the lid and the ruler. It was hard to get a good picture while holding the ruler on the lid and tell exactly how much deflection there was. So ya, that skinny bit of green paper sticking out of the ruler is how much the lid deflects.
Guess i could have labeled my pics better.
But ya like 1/8" deflection...ish
