best way to germinate seeds?

What is the best way to germinate seeds guys? I have only grown from clippings and my brother sent me some seeds, hes not sure which strains. I have read all the ways and im just curious which way has worked best for you? the paper towel method? rockwool alone? etc etc

Oh and Im going to start my first hydro grow with these, Im making my setup this weekend and getting everything except the light

i use paper towel method and ill either put it in a plastic bag or on a plate with a bowl over it

i always put them in the dirt about an inch or less and water a bit daily and 24 hours of light.

i soak them till they sink then once they drop i put them in a paper towel till taproot shows...then into the dirt she goes...

forgot to mention that the bag or plate/bowl gets put on the cable box

personally i dont like doing the paper towel way,i like to use a styrofoam cup filled with soilless mix buried 1/4-1/2 inch deep keep moist but not soggy within 2 days i usuly have them all sprouted

That is obscene :s why would you do that lool. I have used the paper towl method and have 1inch seedlings from seed in just four days. The reason i used paper towels was so that i knew they had germinated, but if the seeds are good you dont need any of this you can just plant them. This gives less risk of fungal problems or any ova problems that may ocur early on.

after taproot show then into the soil do you keed it dark or put them under lights or wait til they brake the surface

After me writing a "full proof" germination method guide, I had nothing but trouble with my technique. I jinxed myself.

Now I just plant straight in the soil and make sure my temps are around 29c with a DIY humidity dome (plastic container with the top cut out) and have had no problems yet. /knocks on wood
