Best way to dry trim?

So I just finished harvesting my first grow (single plant). Now I'm left with this nice pile of trim that I want to dry before I make butter with it. What's the best way to dry this stuff? I was thinking about putting it in a colander and leaving it in the bottom of the box I'm drying the buds in but I'm afraid the trichomes will fall through the mesh! Is this a good idea?

the trichomes are pretty stable when they're fresh. I spread my trim over a window screen and let it dry.
You can make butter from fresh trim but you'll get a lot more chlorophyl transferred into the butter.

I just shove it in a paper bag or envelop and leave it one of my draws. I keep it my draws cause they are dark, light degraded the THC so i try to keep out the light as much as possible

I put them in a paper bag and forget about them. I just found some more trim the other day (can't see thru bags). Made brownies.
