This will be super cool. I sure hope you don't run into heat issues. Regardless, that really is the most awesome TV ever. I wish you luck!

Very well done and thought out i love the stelthness of the whole thing remember smell and sound when going stelth as well, by the way take it from ooBee he may not sound nice all the time but he makes pretty good points and i had to go up to a 440 when i had my 400 and the box was basicly the same dimensions as yours is now!! are you running passive intake or assisted? if its assisted then you may be fine but if not look into a larger fan..And dont forget that your box interior temp is always going to be at least 6 to 8 deg. higher then the ambient temp that your room is...just a thought so you may want to vent outside or to another room Peace..and rep on the start...

Interesting idea, but personally not something I would ever bother with even though I have a 51" broken RPTV. Mainly because I don't believe that box is anywhere near 100% stealth. Blocking light or looking like it belongs in a room is not the issues of doing stealth. It's sound and odor, two things I don't think this box will handle well at all.(mainly sound). If you were to go smaller and use different lighting it might stand a chance, but a 400watt light in a cab that size is going to require some decent airflow. Which in turn will bring with it some noise, something that hard plastic shell wont help much with.
If you doing this just to make it look less suspicious and your storing it in say your basement or a guest room you may have a chance, but good luck getting this to work in any main rooms.

edit: Just checked dates, guess input now is worthless haha

Cool idea, Tim, looking forward to seeing how things work out. oobe might be right though, how cool is your cooling air? Summertime might be a royal pain in the ass. Growth just slows right down above 32 I think, and the tops get fried and crispy.

What about a 250, or a dimmable ballast. I have heat issues myself, and a small low space, and I have a full on set of exhaust fans and cooltubes, but still battle with heat. Im thinking of dimmable ballasts, and seeing if I can still get the yield with 250s instead of 400s, at least for some of the flowering cycle.

Just 2 cents....best of luck

My posting here seems to have brought this thread back to the front and has gotten it like 10 comments, and the OP has disappeared, i'm not thinking were gonna see any updates....

I can't get that many posts in my own thread, but somehow I got it in this one....just by posting in it and bringing it back to the first page.
