so my bud is ready to start curing.. i have a plastic container that had raw (unsalted and no oil) almonds in it im thinking about running that thru the dishwasher and using that.. is that a bad idea? should i use glass? does it not matter? what is the BEST type of container to use for curing?

ime glass is always best... i like the one quart large mouth bottles.. you can usually pick up a case of them from wally world (walmart) for not too much money at all...
or you can recycle some of the jars that you may already have in the house.. just make sure that you really wash and clean them well as anything that was in them prior could impart some flavor into your buds..

i might use some old jars that were for pickles or jelly. they are pretty big and have been washed for quite a while. but they arent super air tight its just that little aluminum lid.. does the curing jar have to be 100% air tight?

I've heard you can put baking soda in jars that smell, and after a few weeks to a few months the smell will be absorbed by the baking soda, you may need to switch it out a couple times... but it's worth it if you got a nice pickel jar or something.
