Best strain for small setups?

Hey i would like to know what you guys think the best strain is for a small grow area (and I'm talking small, under 3 ft. of space to work with here)? I would like a strain that is potent with high yields as well. Anyone's ideas are much appreciated.

That will be hard to do. 3 ft is not a lot. Try top 44 or low-rider. Start flower at 14 to 16 inches.

I like Kali Mist by Serious Seeds, here's one I'm harvesting in the morning - 14" from bucket rim to top cola and will produce 3+ liters of cured bud.

Another great short big producing plant is Big Laughing by Dr Greenthumb. Single Stemmed I can veg my pheno to 16" and get 50% stretch to get a 24" plant every time. It's potent enough that 1/3 of a volcano bag will send my friends into a stupor staring at the wall for 15 minutes. It has amazing lower branches that spiral rather than trade sides of the plant, it alows for cola sized lower branches that I had to support with a tomato cage. Good producer, the plant below didn't fill out because I had a poorly developed root system but I still got 6 cups of cured bud.

AK47 by Serious Seeds is said to have very little stretch during flower, if you grow your mother out from seed then take cutting for clones and flower the clones as budcicles you may be able to keep your plants short.

I would look into types of training as Sea Of Green (short clones), SCReen Of Green (low stress training of the stem (bending) around a screen); or Crop Circle Of Budd (bending the stem around a bucket rim, as with the Kali Mist above.) Train your plants and you can grow any strain you want in 3'. Here's some Strawberry Diesel I grew with 6'6" of stem with only 6" of height above the bucket rim. (CCOB)

A lot of the Auto flowers will stay very short, but my Taiga got 33" under only 12 hours light. Careful of your choice, pick and extra short one. Auto AK47 is suppose to be potent.

You'll want a more indica based plant. They stretch less and typically like to stay small and bushy. With that little of space you'll want to start fruiting most likely by the 3rd or 4th week depending on development. With only 3 feet of space you might want to do a sea of green setup. That would be super productive for such a small space. All you'd need is an area to keep a mother plant and some clones.

Try an auto. I've been growing and smoking auto Ak47 for about a year now and it's pretty potent for an auto. I have a high tolerance, but everyone I've let try it has said it kicked their ass. Been growing two at a time in a fridge under 250 watt hps (just upgraded to 400). Plenty of room in there for two. They need elbow room, don't even let them touch each other if you can help it. I had five in there one time and they stretched like crazy and that's the last thing you want to happen.
There is no sea of green method for autos either, you let them do there thing. The auto AK47, if given the elbow room, will almost SOG itself with it's lower branches coming up like satellites encircling the main cola. That main cola can get as big as a dry ounce (I've had that happen only once. Usually get a bit over a half from the main cola with the whole plant coming in at about an ounce and a half.)

I only have 30" of clearance under my light.

At lot of strain reduce down nicely after you've taken a clone and make it a mother plant. From seed, you can get six footers easily, but cuttings of a particular strain tend to be shorter.

I have a white widow mother plant that is a cutting(clone) that came from seed, and it is really short, very dense, under a foot tall.

Well I'm very proud of my AK 48 and I dont have much room either. The cyber brochure claims it grows like an Indica but kick you butt like a Sativa..at least on the front end. Is supposed to revert back to couch lock Indica at the end. Somebody did a great grow/strain review on it not long ago. I took the top halves a little early, all milky trichs cept for a few. You know that stuff make a person smarter than heck. Rest of it is turning amber. I am thinking of using that for a sleeping pill.
