I'm battling heat too. Central air went out and cant call a service man cuz my tent is next to the unit. I have a window ac Jerry rigged with a box around the back end and ducting with an inline taking the hot air out the dryer vent. Barely keeping up, when I have 84 degree days I'm happy. Gets as high at 90 for a couple hours every now and then.
Dude . My central heat went yesterday after . Where I’m at it’s 90 something outside with very high humidity.,I have 2 tents . Turned lights off . Guy came in looked at the unit . Went outside and was gone in 30 mins. Bad compressor. I even had my vivosun in-line fan sitting on my counter that I just got today blowing on me . Guy even put his hand to see how much air was blowing from it Lol. As long as you don’t have shit hanging all around and a tent wide open . 2019 ppl don’t care about weed . Only cops who want to write a ticket.

True might just jump into the deepend with some of these genetics but the moneymaker i had was covered lol. Its maybe just me being over ambitious as i wasnt using a timer, i am still pulling over a g a watt with what i feel are unstable genetics. I want to really push it, i dont see why more people arent getting to the 2g/watt mark, especially now that alot more research is being done into it.
My issue is that the phenotypes are varying too much compared to how they used to, SLH for example.
Perhaps for me the obvious option clones haha.
I kinda want a solid small chunky indica. Cherry bomb that takes me back that stuff was awesome.
I could get up there in gpw if I was working a bs strain.. a lott of my greatest yielders came from seeds I grew as experiments out of that old school "Ari or skunk". Better known as mex brick weed. Quality was horrible usually but it yielded amazingly! And that was in my noob days with very little experience prob using my 400 mh. Idk if I made the switch to the 600 at that time yet. But either way , all I'm saying is that if we grew out seeds like that , we would all be hitting 1.5 gpw now easy. But since we grow mainly cookie and og crosses , u can pretty much cut that in half

Just be aware that Cookies is quickly becoming as generic a term as Diesel, Headband, or OG Kush. Look at all the European seed companies sticking those names on random stuff just to sell it. There are plenty of "breeders" doing the same thing stateside. Hell, a lot of them get started with S1s that aren't even really made from the cuts the seed companies claim... then they unknowingly release new crosses with the fake as part of the genetic. If you want real crosses with Cookies, look at Bodhi, Thug Pug, Archive, and others with long-standing reputations and the respect of their peers. If you want real worked lines, most of those breeders are off the grid and out of the limelight. Loompa, CSI Humboldt, The Rev, and a few others work their lines but they are the exception to the rule.
Loompa farms , csi Humboldt, the pug , archive . I dont think I've ran any of their gear before . I'm almost pretty sure loompa farms and csi Humboldt were not around 5 or 6 years ago. Or atleast they were not on "attitude". Thats where I did all my shopping for years and I dont remember seeing them until somewhat recently. Archive i think i remember seeing but can't remember honestly. The rev I've never even heard of .. what strains did u grow if u remember ? Which were fire ?

Nice . I grew back in ... 2006 or so . Only knew of hps/ mh. Had skunk and Afghan and white rhinos .. that was what ppl were raving over. Stopped till 2018 . Now all these crazy strains . LEDs? Autos? So I went quantum boards and now have done Mephisto strains ,Barney’s farms, seedsman , ect. Currently on ethos run . Easy USA genetics and no customs . I’m looking into my next run and looking for a good USA seed bank with some classic strains .

He's not talking down on people buying seeds, man. He's just speaking the truth. There's nothing wrong with pollen chucking if you have a knack for male selection.... BUT no one should be trying to get hundreds of dollars for a pack of seeds from a cross that hasn't even been grown out by anyone yet. If you work a line for 3 or more generations and have it stabilized down to one or two phenos, GREAT! Charge a premium for the work you put in. If you're just sticking one male picked from the first pack of seeds you ever bought in a room full of girls, your shit isn't worth $100. Those days are long gone. The hype machine preys on noobs and people who have no connections. Don't buy into it. Most of the best seeds I've ever run were gifted for free or purchased from low-cost pollen chuckers like Beanhoarder and Joey Weed.

I hear Bhodi come up alot .. I remember when I first started seeing them on attitude maybe around 2014 or 15. Mad I never tried their gear. I was just a noob at the time and their strain names didn't catch my attention. Also I still didnt kno what I like at that time. I was still buying street weed with no real strain knowledge on my end or on the dealers. At that time all I knew was good weed and bad weed lol.

Bro Loompa has been around longer than just about anyone. So has Nspecta from CSI Humboldt. They're old school cats that really know their shit. Same with The Rev (Kindom Organic Seeds). Actually, he predates just about everyone currently selling seeds. He's also the cultivation editor for Skunk magazine.

wow, there really are some newer growers rockin the place. lol. White Trash Redneck, Crazy Composer, Loompa, all them ole cat rockin the grows back in the underground day, doin side by sides and very knowledgable grows. I even miss ole Krusty, lol Bodhi also. 2010 Loompa was handing his yetis and other crosses out for free. WTR aka Nspecta is a veritable encyclopedia of strain info. Same with Crazy Composer, another fave grower of mine. Just sayin

So much history got erased when Overgrow (and later Breedbay) went down. Sometimes it's hard to realize that a lot of younger growers never had access to all that knowledge. That's how you get threads of people calling Topdawg a presumptuous upstart company and whatnot. They haven't seen them on Attitude or whatever so they assume they're new pollen chuckers. Truth is -with a few notable exceptions- if they are selling on Attitude, their stuff is probably rope.

Nice!! Let me kno what u find. I'm always on the hunt for quality. I've wasted so much time with crappy breeders just because they advertise well. As a noob when u give to a website like the attitude it's hard to know where to start. I've grown out some stuff from emerald triangle seeds, they have amazing names and pics but very average plants. Grew out 5 or maybe even 7 fem white widow from seedsman, all trash! G13 labs auto pineapple express was trash. Auto anything is trash imo lol. I grew cali connections sour d. Was nervous cause everyone on youtube says cc gear will herm. And it did lol. (Maybe my first ever herm m, cant remember) was pissed at first but after I calmed down and actually smoked it . It wasnt bad at all! Few seeds here and there but nothing crazy and smoke was a solid b+. I want to say dinafem too . But I did have 1 positive experience growing "dinamex" that was pure fire! And that plant grew too tall (very sativa) and actually fell over because I had no support. I harvested maybe 2 or 3 weeks earlier than planned because of it. I had no Hope's because the bud was so immature . But it was gas!! Cant even lie. Only company I've had repeated success with is Humboldt seed organisation. I've grown out more strains from them than any other breeder . I got lucky with my first order of pre 98 bubba kush and blue dream. Straight fire! Best seeds I've ever grown. Grew them for a while then tossed the clones . Been chasing that high ever since lol. I've bought from many other seed companies during this time but I'll list all the gear I bought from hso. Blue dream , pre 98 bubba kush , lemon thai kush , blueberry headband , sour blueberry , chemdog , sour diesel #2, desert diesel. Maybe one or two others but this is what I remember atm.blueberry headband was pretty good , lemon thai kush was decent (better than expected) I remember being disappointed by the chemdog but honestly don't remember why. I do remember that I hated the desert diesel. Tasted like pure trash! No amount of curing in the world could fix that. Very small yielding too. hardly any side branching. And I was in dwc! Now tbh none of my dwc plants ever tasted that great. But I always got tremendous yield. And not horrible taste, just not as loud as soil plants.

Dropping knowledge!! U teaching me bro, I'm all ears .. I'm only knowledgeable about things post maybe 2011. I think alot more breeders should advertise and talk more on YouTube. Similar to what sub cool used to do. I've still never ran his gear btw. Never knew if it was youtube hype or the real deal.

Whatever knowledg u have on the overgrown website please share. I've heard a few stories before. Even one myth that og kush came from seeds being passed along thru the site . Was that a forum like rollitup or a seed supplier like attitude ?

A little off topic. Idk if any of you are into the YouTube cannabis scene but back in the day there was a YouTuber by the name of "hygrohybrid". The mother effin master!! I learned so much from this dude . Studied all his vids until he left youtube and made a paid website. I was growing a bunch of little plants until I saw this guy getting lb plants indoor. Changed the way I grow forever . I did stop with the dwc. Only cuz quality was lacking. But to this day I still implement most of the growing methods he showed on his channel.

It was both. Heaven's Stairway was the seed store attached to the site. A lot of today's "elite" cuts came from seeds and clones being passed around there. Most well-known stories are just marketing hype. The cannabis gene pool is pretty shallow. There's not a terpene on this planet that didn't originally come from combining land race genetics .

Yea man.. I'm in my early 30s so alot of stuff you guys are bringing up was going on when I was maybe in h.s. or shortly after. And growing wasnt even on my mind at that time. I've honestly never heard of any of those outside of loompa and bhodi. When I got into growing everyone was pretty much on their knees blowing subcool. It's like ur garden was trash if u didnt have his gear . I still never did, although I did lust after his ripped bubba for a while. There was a subcool affiliate growing it on youtube back then . Cant recall his name . But he had an amazing garden, all tga. But that ripped bubba was amazing! But at that time tga, grand daddy purple, dna , cali connection were popular. Atleast that's how it appeared to me . And most of the grows I saw on youtube that predate 2010 mostly strains from nirvana , green house seed co, worls of seeds and dinafem

Interesting...my only question is what do you consider land race genetics? Cuz I take that as mex brick weed. Or weed that grows naturally in a certain region. But being that I've never seen a weed plant grow naturally (without being planted) in my area . When I hear the term land race stain the only thing I can relate it to is mex brick weed
