Was this test done on water from your tap?

I would be interested in seeing the actual report, just block out the personal information, a lot more can be learned from looking at the whole puzzle and not just a few pieces. Either way these are my thoughts regarding your water.
I got the report its dated from 10 years ago i dont think the water company will be much help with accurate numbers. Everytime i spoke with them they have given me old reports and try to convince water is fine and wont damage appliances. Everyone i spoke with in the town has a RO filter and softener because of damage to appliances from hard water. Im leaning towards getting a filter, since water is more then likely harder then what's reported do i need a water softener? Ive read read hard water wreaks havoc on RO units.

Well hard water really does shorten membrane life. Using a softener before the RO filter would really help extend membrane life and also reduce the amount of waste water.

The best thing to do is send off a sample of your water for testing. This doesn't cost much and will let you know exactly what you are dealing with.

You could contact a water specialist and get their advice once you have accurate water test results. They can help you design a system tailored to your needs. I like the guys at wecofilters.com thats where I purchase my filters from.

Booster pumps really help production rates. I cheated and just turned up the pressure regulator for the whole house from 40 PSI to 65 PSI, risky move but I was prepared if there was a breakage. That also really fixed the weak showers lol.
I turned mine up to 62. I had a plumber down there to snake the floor drain and asked him about it and he turned it up for me since he was right next to it. Ive seen it come out as cold as 43F, that and 40psi werent cutting it at all.
Dont use the RO anymore but have got so used to the pressure I dont want to turn it down lol.
