Reading comprehension is difficult I see, point out where I said it affected the end result. I simply pointed out chloramine does not dissipate from the water by leaving it out, that's it!

If your municipal water is treated with chloramine, as a lot of places are now since its more stable than free chlorine, you are wasting your time as it will never dissipate. R/O is the only way to get rid of it.

I don't "squirt" anything in my water. If i have to use tap water I drop in a little bit of castings which almost immediately inactivates any chloramine present.

RO water, you normally wouldnt need that for a soil grow, unless gg420 needs it to douche his chaffed boi ass.

anyways i dont even know where to get r/o water nor do i want to im kinda happy the way i got things dialed in with my dwc and im trying to keep things as basic and easy to maintain as possible with my soil plants, like i said im just growing one of each in soil for mothers that i will keep in veg as long as possible or atleast untill my clones harvest and i can decide if i want to keep or discard

It is better to acquire fresh high quality castings. Build a soil has good stuff for soil growers including castings. Maybe someons in your area has homemade fresh castings available.
