Does anyone know what the best method for drying and curing is? I've heard so many different ones, I just harvested my plants today and my plan was to let them hang upside down for 5-7 days then put them in a paper bag, and then jar them.

If this is the correct method then how often should I burp the jar to produce the best type of buds?

I've also heard of putting the jar into the fridge? Someone help me I'm confused and want to make sure I am using the best way possible.

I do the similar method you are going to do. Works well. Make sure there is air circulation and dark while they hang. Once in the bags, I turn them daily and don't squish the bag tight closed, just fold the top down, I used large papr yard waste bags, leaves lots of room for air in there. Once in the jars, I keep them all in a rubbermaid tub, in the dark, open the jars daily for an hour and turn the buds for the first week. After the second week in jars they should be good to smoke. ( I test smoke the buds along the way and after 3 weeks or more in jars is the best, lol). After fully cured and no more sweating in the jars and you have lots, you can bag some and put in the freezer or just store in the jars and smoke it, lol. Good luck. :mrgreen::peace:

And that in your opinion is how you make the DANK SHIT the bud that people remember you know that bud that when you walk into a room no matter how many baggies you have it in people still know what's up. lol sorry im stoned i hope you understood that.

What is the best method of long term storage? I'm about to cut & hang in a week or two and I would like to store it in about 90 day supplies. I anticipate this bunch to last close to a year of personal smoke and the long term part might be an issue. I thought vacume seal and keep in a dark cool place????
Any input would be appreciated.

Drying it as slow as possible, without allowing molding, is my preferred method. Cool, dark, airy room until tips (not a typo) are dry to touch, then sealed, dark-tinted jar(s) w/frequent top (of container) removal until all chance of mold passes.

what is the point of putting it in the frrezzer? wouldnt that cause freezer burn? or some moisture getting in?

I believe if you get all the air out of the bag and then seal them in say a coffee can you should be ok......

suck the air out w/ your lips. you dont wanna crush the hell out of the buds and leave a bunch of trichomes stuck to the bag etc. if your putting it in the freezer put them in a tubbaweare bowl unless you wanna make some hash. the trichomes freeze and break off the buds real easy. ya gotta be careful if you wanna preserve the potency
