BEST method to make hash with LOW POTENT weed. No butane...

Is there an inexpensive way to make bubble hash or kief hash or hash oil or something with only 20 grams, and no butane method? This weed also has a low potency.
 
Chemical Supply place has hexane for $20 a gal...99% iso is also 20 a gal. Either way its not worth buying for 20 grams of shitty herb. butane is your best bet.

you don't have to buy a gallon of iso . you can get a pint for a couple bucks at the drug store.

no it was the particular strain i used, very light, lime green color. It was also Organic outdoor blue cheese it was very dry to the touch. Got 19% yield. I have done kief washes that havent come out that blonde. Good thing is i found 7 seeds in the bag so i might have a chance to grow this beautiful strain
 
you have 2 choices , you can dump all your bad weed in a jar and fill it with iso till it cover the bud , then shake for 30 seconds and dump in a platter , wate till alchool evaporates and scrape the leftings that will be stuck on platter.

Orr you can grind up all your weed (0.5 at a time) and press the kief you get from the grinder into hash

those are the easiest and you can find everything at home :) . you prob have some isprophy alchool somewhere in your medical cabinet

Thats amazing so does iso normally mean the lighter the bud the more its going to turn out light , I did iso once and it turned out pitch black brownish , had that crazy hash smell and smoke tho.
 
"NO BUTANE" Very wise, but as for the amount of material you're dealing with, I'd say iso is the best option......it'll take longer, but will yield the most finished product. My $.02 :joint:

Yes , at least it sounds logical.

Take a look at this stuff, The bud was darker in color, so was the wax. but i got a higher yield off this recent batch.

I did an iso run on some og kush , and the iso came out dark brown , mabye it was contimation :P , I have no idea.

you gave me idea to mess around with bho now aha , are the equipment necessary hard to find? stuffl like making iso hash or pressed is found aroudn the house so its pretty simple to make xd

I have no clue what you need for BHO extractions, i have yet to perform one.

When you made ISO before how long were your wash times? Also did you freeze the bud and the ISO for 24 hours prior to doing your extraction?

You do not want the ISO to be in contact with the bud for long. 10-30 seconds then you strain it.

Freezing the materials prior helps solidifys fats waxes lipids and solids in the flowers and keeps from leaching into your final product
 
If you want to stay away from butane, you can still use Pentane or Hexane for a non polar extraction and can get the HPLC grades at American Scientific.

If you wish to try a polar solvent, I would recommend 190 proof Ethanol, or 99% Isopropyl alcohol. We freeze the material and alcohol to -18C/0F before the wash and use a 30 second wash for Iso and a 3 minute wash with Ethanol. We get 190 proof from the liquor store and Iso from Safeway. You can also have 190 shipped to you from http://www.winechateau.com/

Beside strain differences, the darkening is a function of converting the material from its carboxylic acid form to its decarboxylated form. The decarboxylated form is darker.

Fresh frozen material extracts will be a light yellow, and the same plant after drying, will produce a darker oil because of this factor. Heating a light yellow oil will also darken it to amber because of decarboxylation.

i like to get the final honeycomb/wax product, i use power 5 butane..

you seem to have really good information on BHO.. is there a better solvent you recommend? im paying about 2.70 a can, and i get about 2.5 -3 g o wax out/can.. i would love to cut my costs down.. im open to new ideas, but i really like my final product to be the wax, and i really like it to not bubble, or crackle, and just melt... can you please throw lots of great information at meee :] or links, or what not, anything and everything, thanks!
