I'm trying to figure out the best method for bubbles, as in types of wands and what not, whats the overall best, and is the such thing as to many bubbles? i was pretty sure there wasn't but had to ask
True... when I first built my dwc I was using a 10 gal pump I had from an old fish tank. I noticed my girls were not growing as fast as they should so I purchased a 40 gal whisper pump and the girls perked up big time!
I use 4 12 inch airstones, the kind that are stone all around not inlaid in plastc, they are sort of triangular shaped. I get mine at Meijer. I run a line to each from a 600 gal/hr pump. I get lots of bubbles, the more the better. When I'm starting seedings I set water level an inch below the bottom of the netpots. The bubble action wets them more than halfway up, eliminating the need for drips, feeder tubes or top feeding. This is the real bubbleponics. By the way, with my current grow I shifted from rockwool to rapid rooters. The RRs gather and hold water so well, I was worried about drowning seedlings not about top feeding them. I lowered my water level by a gallon and monitored until I had the netpots being watered to the extend I wanted. I check the netpots and the airstones daily to see all is well.
