Anyways RIU I was given a gallon of some no name nutrients and unfortunately its about to run out, so I am now stuck with a delimna as to which nutrient line is the best? Im looking for 2 or 3 part max nutrient line, unless that is a waste? Any advise is appreciated!

I can't say what I use is the best but it works for me. I use FloraNova bloom throughout the whole grow as my only base nutrient. My supplements come from Botanicare. I'm running a tweaked form of the Lucas formula. It calls for 8ml of FloraNova per gallon. I love it.

i testing a fullrun of foliar pro now. Plants are huge and green but i feel like they are lagging in crystals compared to my other trays. It could be because there is so much more leaf and greenness on these though? Im in week 5 so well see in a month. It would be nice to run only one flavor of DG. I run bloom/mag pro/protect with RO water in flower. protect/foliar pro in veg.

I have FloraNova grow and bloom. Do I need anything else besides these except for maybe calmag because I will be using RO water.

Some silica, but nothing other than what you are using is necessary besides the calmag. The plants will do fine with just those 3 nutes. Everything else is just extra.

You realize you'll get so many replies for different products your head will fall off trying to decide lol 💬. I use a two part mix that is not available to the public that i know of. It is a standard mix with all the standard nutes. What i have found out in the last 3 weeks is that the plants really like the addition if powdered PlantProd 😊. I had some fading out of White Russian and added 3 table spoons to 135L of my normal mix and the plants have exploded. I would never have thought really and perhaps the addition of regular nutes would have helped. I now add at every res change. Not sure of long term results though re: salt buildup, etc.

Hydroponic- Research VEG+BLOOM a complete ONE part dry formula, so you are not paying to ship water. All you do is increase the amount as plants grow.

I am switched over to Botanicare's Kind. What I like about it is that it does not require any Cal Mag. They built it in. I will use The Kind 3 part with some Tea and finish off with some Atomi BloomBastic in the final weeks and crush it. I'm sure you can use other Heavy Finishers, but that's what works for me. FYI I grow in Coco.

I've been doing hydro now for 2 or 3 years and have used gh, advanced, and heavy 16. The gh had decent yields and decent quality but it seemed like it was all synthetic. Advanced had highest yeild and great quality but I had problems with a bad batch of b52 which is a vitamin supplement. Now I'm using heavy 16 full line up with heisenburgs tea in an 18k watt setup ebb and flo. I've gotten the best quality by far with heavy 16 and a pretty good yeild as well. I would say give heavy 16 a look because its condensed all of advanced additives into a few simple bottles. Also comes with a really nice foliar nutrient as well. A little on the expensive side for the bloom additive but well worth it IMO. It's tight also if your using ro water and have a drain to waste coco you will almost never have to PH your solution.

Hey Petflora,
I'm with you on the dry nutes. Hey do you have a source for the Hydroponic Research line? Mail order that is. Nothing on Amazon, nothing on Ebay, and their website only lists hydro stores.

How does the stuff compare to the Maxi line?

I have been reading up on the different available nutrients and what waterdawg put above is correct my head doing somersaults trying to decide which to use.

I asked on another post about Mills Nutrients because it seems to have had some good write ups but it is not available in my country, there are quite a lot of others around some of which I think may be a little long in the tooth and haven't kept up with modern day technology and the information that is available to make good nutrients.

I would like to have a go at making my own but I have no idea where to start and the last thing I want to do is poison my plants so at the moment I think my best option is to purchase ready made product, which brings us full circle, I would like to know what is the most popular and easiest to use Nutrients.

If anyone has any links to sites showing how to make your own nutrients please send them.
