Been building my own lights for over 3 years and those kind of lights have too many things can go wrong with them. Honest, learn to build your own lights. You will be glad you did.
You can build a killer light for under 500.00 that will at least do a 4x4 or a little more. 720 watts.
It still would be a downgrade from my CMH setup. Unless i did additional supplementation LED spectrum is lacking a bit....when they get a little better for horticultural use i might go back to LEDs but for now i still think HPS/CMH is king.

It's all about the flower at the end of the day. Like I said, I built red 660's strips and I have Agramax or Agragrow UVB's too. I have everything covered. But I haven't been using the reds or the UV's because the plants are responding beautifully to the Vero's alone.
What are thopse diodes? Looks like 3 watt diodes

5w cree xte red and 5w cree xte series white

they have both red and white diodes one of my white diodes burnt out since i use white for both veg and flower it makes sense that it has the most use on the white one.

I don't care what the best light on the market is. For the price and results I've been extremely happy with my 600 watt HPS and 4 ft 4 bulb HO T5. Are there better lights? Of course. Do I need to spend money on them? Not in this lifetime. I also have a 1000 watt magnetic HPS ballast but haven't used it in awhile. If I setup another grow I'll use that before needlessly dropping money on another lighting solution.

So what's the best light on the market? Can't answer that but I can tell you that I currently have the best lights for my needs and that's all that matters. I'll let others dump a ton of money and play around with meters, charts, measuring power use etc... I'l just focus on growing weed.

If you just go to a shop and buy led, 99%you will get garbage. You need to know what led to buy.
How much do you Wana grow? Personal or commercial?
Do you have over heat problem or cold winters?
For personal use a 250W HPS with digital ballast can be nice or decent led at similar wattage. Some here recommend the 350w CMH (I never saw it in action).

Just don't buy crap, when you make ur desicon ask ppl again.

5x5 tent - try out 2 HLG 320XLs, run ya about 900-1000$
Or one 1000 watt setup that includes cooled hood, dimmable ballast, MH and HPS bulbs, timer and hangers for under $200.

I'm actually glad so many people are spending so much for expensive LED's because the price of HID systems have plummeted. Both will grow excellent weed. But one costs much more. But if I lived in a place with expensive power I would take a serious look at LED's. With the power so cheap where I live it would take years to recover the extra cost of the LED's through power savings.

Not slamming LED's, it's just that HID will and has been growing weed just as good or better than weed grown under modern LED's. People have been growing fire under HID's for decades. Can you grow fire under LED's? Yes you can. But the extra cost just doesn't pencil out for many of us.

There is no "One size fits all" answer to "what's the best light".

Bingo!! Keep it old school I use 1k watt with digi dimable And success is all I ever had. I also agree on the point it’s driving our cost lower since everyone is trying to go the LED route

As stated there are many ways to skin a cat. Do you need suplemental heat in colder months? I grow in a building that is used in the winter and need to heat it so LED would probably not be a great choice if they are that much cooler. But I gotta ask is a watt not 3.41 btu’s no matter where it comes from? Maybe if I grew inside in the warmer months then yes it may . Does LED grow better plants? I doubt it but it would be wrong for me to have an opinion as I have no clue. It’s great that the LED users are happy with their choice though, seems to tad expensive to not be lol. I can buy a 1000 watt bulb for $32 at the wholesale electric supply and they keep my building nice a cozy at -30 lol.
