Best led on amazon?

What's the best leds you can get on amazon? I see a couple hlg but they are really expensive, some China knockoffs, and a mars hydro clone of a hlg quantum board.

Trying to find something for close to 1$ a watt, must be off amazon, and be worth the money. I'm experianced with 1k de hps and 315 cmh but the summer temps are killing me. Absolute max of 500 but want it to be closer to 300. Is there even anything on amazon worth a damn? Dont bother advising other places, if it cant be done it's ok it just cant be done.

I dont think your gonna find top quality LEDs from the big brands on Amazon for $1 per watt...As you said HLG is expensive

Some of those Knockoffs are claiming to be using top bin diodes and meanwell drivers, i honestly think that would be your best bet, im assuming you can get those for $1 per watt?

The growers over in the knockoff thread are growing dank ganja with those boards

I just dont think its possible on Amazon, outside the knockoffs, everything else in that price range are not lights worth buying, they just spew bloated numbers and make false claims. Id stay away from the mars, viaparaspectra and all the others like them

The knockoffs i would try tho.

check out optic grow lights. optic 2 and optic 4. i think they sell on amazon close to $1 per watt.

i've never used one but i know some people on here like em. i know they use genuine cree cxb chips and they've been tested close to 2.0umols

aside from that the hlg 300 is like $500 on amazon

not sure what else is on there.

edit:
$1.10 per watt

MEAN WELL
MW Mean Well HLG-240H-54A 54V 4.45A 240W Single Output LED Switching Power Supply.

Is this the power supply I'd want for these?

These can be found on amazon btw

no, thats a 54v driver and those are 24v boards, you would want an HLG-240h-24a to wire in parallel,
or HLG recommends hlg-240h-c2100a per four boards in series.

yep DIY can be done on Amazon, 4 of those and a 24 would kick ass in a 2x4 or even a 3x3

The idea is to make them light about a 2x5 hopefully, theres a 1kw gavita beside it so it shouldnt be a problem for the total area to be a 7x5. Thanks for your recommendation on power supply

I am probably going to be laughed right out of this thread, but I was low budget a year ago, and really wanted to go LED. I bought these, in the 5k, and hardwired them. Don't even have them in a fixture. They have worked AWESOME. I do have a mix of screw-in cfl's and led's with them too....

man, Mars ts1000 is best option on the Zon, hands down. Ive seen them grow, and they work very good for the price. and u get a timer and soil meter and hangers for $150. Its the closest clone to the HLG for the price your going to find, other then DYI, but for a plug and play out of the box, Mars TS all day would be my choice. 2 of them would kick butt,,

$130 on Ebay, save $20 going that route also.

Ya I know Mars had a horrible rep back in the day but I think they have changed a lot. Do you happen to have any links to grows using them here on riu?

I put a lot of value into it being plug and play, I'm almost too busy to spend any time building something, even if it's a hour

Personally i think you would be better off just buying a small A/C unit for the space and keep using the 1kde hps and cmh.

Those crappy leds give off lots of heat too, they are nothing compared to qbs or strips or cobs.

I would go with the qb knockoffs before ever considering a mars anything.

Unfortunatly I cant do that. It simply isnt a option.

Also do you know the mars ts 1000 is in fact a quantum board knockoff ?
