Best LED comparable to 1000W HPS

It seems more like desperate grasps at straws to justify using an obsolete system.
What I see is your personal opinion not that HP's is actually obselete.

The lies were that a 50% 500w unit even 600 was destroying 1000w HP's, not that something like gavitas new 780w wouldn't come close or even better to a 1000w hps.

Some new LEDs exspose the old lie, they don't try for such a large efficiency.

The price of LEDs is pushing all other light sales even blurple, that's not obselete that's doing well.

Huh? My 600W QB kit easily replaces a 1000W. Easily.

So you're saying a street light designed decades ago isn't obsolete when there are all these other options? Ok then

And if it's LED driving the market and making sales for other light systems like you say, then how is that in any way a credit to HID?

You only have hatefull things to say, street light, obselete, like your trying to bully a little kid.

Take away who is best and what have you got, a lot of hatefull led owners. Bigger problems in life to have. Words are not convincing, HP's will die when it does, people still want to use it aren't going to be impressed with your attitude towards them and what are you expecting but an argument back.

Chill out try keep is simple.

You guys are only talking about old school single ended hps right?

What about DE hps?
A 750w DE bulb destroys a 1000W single ended hps in a 4x4 area.

My attitude isn't towards HPS users. I'm talking about the light. An inanimate object.

It's now clear you have an inferiority complex. You can't even debate shit, as soon as you have nothing else to say, "whaahhhh they're bullying me"

HPS was developed in the late 50's. And its primary use has been street lights and commercial buildings. So what's the problem here?

You really need to learn how not to get offended by simple questions and factual statements.

I am talking 1000W single end when comparing my QB's.

Really up until this point LEDs have been a bit lacking, now it's getting more interesting and we just want to enjoy it.

If you start getting closer than 600w led to a 1000w hid I think its more the ballpark, so did gavita and a couple others. Not my debate they choose it over looking more efficient.

Find some middle ground, there's threads from years with the same you just wrote about HP's, it's not a new revelation but it is getting boring and stopping some REAL talk.

Ok because you said this earlier in the thread. Just wanted to make sure everyone’s comparing apples to apples :-)
A decent metric is about 60% of HID

You really need help if it offends you when someone talks bad about a 60+ yr old light bulb.
It's not HP's I'm defending or led I'm attacking, it's you and that type of negatively over lights.

LEDs have done a lot of work and HP's is still a great light, I'm sure it will phase out but I can get a 600w HP's for £50 ,here it's become an even better option till you can save for that new gen led which seem over a £1000 ATM.

Yeah.....and? I am, am I not?

My 600W is ooooooh.....wait for it.....60% of 1000W
DE hps is

HID lighting. Just stop bro. :P

No fucking way your 600w led will put out the same as my 1000w DE.

my metric I use when converting over to DE from single ended is 1/3 less watts. So basically 666 watts of DE HPS (an hid light) replaces a 1000w single ended hps.

No it's just boring like said.

Think there is a new grower over in newbie forum using a CFL who needs a beat down for light choice.
If you don't want to see people talking about the comparisons between HPS and LED, then maybe you should stay the fuck out of a thread called :

Juss sayin'....with your fragile ego and all
