whats the best jar to use ??
Halloween is my last day of week 8
just getting ready for this is my first harvest hoping it goes good
so let me get it straight, first i pull all the fan leaves off, then i trim around the buds to shape them, hang to dry in dark place, hang till stem snaps right, what if the stem don't snap and the outside of bud is crispy ??
after that put in jars till when????

hang until they are somewhat firm and crispy - not still soft and
malleable..

then get some big, airtight mason jars - you can tell they are airtight by the rubber ring inside the lid.. you leave the buds in there at least 2 weeks - some strains take longer..

i stop drying when the stems snap. i mean, i dont hear them snapping but instead of the stem bending, it snaps to a right angle @ 90 degree's.

after that, trim ur bud as u like and put them in air tight jars. burp once a day for 15/30 minutes - 1 hour, then repeat.

I bought my curing jars at Wallmart and they were a few dollars each and hold about 3 ounces of bud each. It is a square glass jar with a flip open lid with a clasp and a rubber seal. They have worked great for me and were in the housewares dept. Lots of people also use ball mason canning jars. I think they are a little cheaper.

I bought a pack of 12 mason jars from walmart for like $8, rubber seal and hold atleast an OZ. As far as the buds being dry and the stems not you can still put them in the jars you just have to burp and watch them a little more carefully in case of mold or you could put them in paper bag for a couple days after you hang then go to jars.
