Best hydro method for two BIG plants

Hi to all I was wondering which is the best method for growing 2 big clones in a massive set-up - 2x600watt HPS
I'm thinking about building 2 big bucket for DWC.... my biggest question is about vegging time, because I really need they grow HUGE before flowering.....

I have some experience both in soil and hydro (Wilma drip system), but this time I need to grow something HUGE bro

IYHO which method could give me the fastest growing rate?? dwc, aereo, drip, other??? THanks!!!!!

I'm doing dwc right now...I would say dwc is the way to go for big plants. I grew The Church from ghs and it got fucking huge. The root ball on the thing is heavy as shit.

They dont grow quite as fast as aeroponics, but they'll still grow fast as shit in dwc, especially with good air to the roots.

If you want a big plant, all you really have to do is just let it go a bit longer in veg. It'll grow as big as you let it, even if you dont have the space/light for it.

Aeroponics is really interesting, but I cannot find pics of HUGE aeroponics plants......... usually I find SOG pics on aero
I also think that DWC is cheaper and more forgiving rather than aeroponics, so probably I will go dwc this time

Ebb & Flow (flood & Drain) would be an idea....

Thanks doctor! but If I understand well, dwc should have faster grow rate rather than hempy bucket...... and hempy bucket seems to me more difficoult to feeding as you have to do it manually every time....

true the only problem with dwc is that keeping the res at a good temp can be a bit of a chore as well. thats pretty much one of the only problems i hear with it but other than that it seems like a good way to go.

anyone know how to water starts wit a timer?

im using ebb and flow right now, during seedling stage i needed to water three times a day 15 min a piece, and now they are on their 6th node and i have to water 5 times a day 15 min a piece. or the leaves start to show signs of heat stress, but the leaves stay good with the extra waterings.

DWC get a 10 gallon rubbermaid a make 2 holes and you will get the most out of your plant. the hempy buckets will work well to tho.

thanks to all!!!!! your answers make me think about feeding time schedule... with hempy buckets, ebb&flow you need to change feeding time, following the plants need...

probably DWC is more simple because all you need to do is setting bubbles time

I think the main problem will be to handle the 10/15 gallon container

For faster growth than a passive DWC system, check out a GH WaterFarm. You can get a complete unit for about 50 bux, with growrocks, nutes, air pump, and it will grow and anchor a large plant. That's why you don't see Aero systems used for large plants, because the system won't provide enough of a base to anchor the large plant.

The GH waterfarm seems very interesting: is it a combination of drip and dwc?

I am going to try some hempy buckets very soon,
to try and overcome the rez temp issue of DWC.

Every system has it's trade-offs.

You can grow pretty big plants in an aero system, if you have room.

Yes, you can get very good root growth in DWC.

I would consider pump feeding them from an external res. with a drip manifold. Very easy to do, and that way you can use 5 gallon buckets for your monsters. You can run these as dwc as well but you will have a hard time accessing the res. once you are in the jungle

Unity: that's a good idea but an ext res add complexity to the system... more probability that something break p or simply does not work!!! this will be the 1st time in DWC and I really want to keep as simple as possible!!!

Not sure where you got that idea because I have a reservoir with pump, 9 station drip manifold and I run the tubes right into the Hempy buckets. My pump is on a timer so the only thing I have to do is keep my eye on the PH.

I keep my reservoir out from under the light so maintaining the temp is a snap too. I just drop a 2 liter bottle of frozen water in the morning and 1 at night.

Also, since my plants are not sitting in the res cleaning it is a snap.

Honestly I'm loving Hempy!!!
