Best Herb For Anxiety?

Alright so its been about 3-4 years since ive been able to smoke since my anxiety has reached an extreme. Pretty much every time i smoked weed or drank i'd instantly have an anxiety attack. Alot of other things trigger them also but i'm not on meds for it (i refuse to take any sort of perscription pill...nothing crazier then advil for this guy). I realllyyyy do miss smoking though. And on top of it ive been dabling in some growing so to be growing it and not able to smoke it is MURDER to me.

Sooo with that backstory...what would be some good strains that you guys use for anxiety issues?

Crit+ is a really good relaxant, although it does tend to leave you on the sleepy side, depending on when it was harvested.. I would say it would work better for insomnia, but it could work well enough for anxiety.

Hey man, I know what you mean, being able to smoke and enjoy it and suddenly one day your anxiety starts to interfere giving you panic attacks. I have that too and currently am on a break from almost everything (alcohol, weed) as it seems to aggravate it. Thats why I started growing my own in the first place to find a good anxiety strain. So far I have found Ortega from Dutch Passion excellent for alleviating anxiety or if youre starting to smoke again. It is just a unique high that is not comparable to anything I smoked, I also have Master Kush which is decent but a bit too strong :D, gives me a lot of dissociation, but sometimes its pleasant. Try to experiment with pure Indica strains or Indica Dominant strains which are more suitable for psychological issues. Sativas tend to make your heart go racy and can be confusion inducing.

I found the Master Kush to be extremely pleasnat high, that would be perfect for anxiety if you ask me. I didnt think it had a real high ceiling, meaning it doesnt really fuck up by smoking more but it just adds leg to the longevity of the high.. Its the clearest, most comfortable social high ive had. The abscence of sativa in it means there isnt the jittery nervous feeling you can get in public from some of those, and i found it to be like Nirvana describe the high, where it doesnt make you a complete log. Great for chilling, talking, and going places where there are people your not usually around high.

I also suffer from debilitating anxiety so i'm there with you on finding non-anxiety inducing strains. Right now I have an indica leaning plant which is G13 Labs Blueberry Gum. It only does 2 things, its stoney and relaxing, and its euphoric and giggly a few times during the 2 hour high.

Also one of my favorites with no anxiety is Spacebomb. I love Spacebomb because of how the high is very heavy and 3 hours disappears with no anxiety just relaxation.

Those two I recommend as they don't give me anxiety.

EDIT: I wrote this after my first hit of the day of Blueberry Gum just 1hour 20 minutes ago. I did so this early cause I woke up grumpy due to only 6 hours of sleep, and this elevated my mood. :)

yea i have a little anxiety as well....
LIke ive told the few people i know that know i grow, that if i could only have one strain it would be the master kush..
Another plus to the master over some of the sativas, which generally are the type for anxiety, is that the master isnt going to keep you up at night.

I do love sativas tho, i like that speedy get some shit done feeling that comes with them. Havent done much all summer due to the fact that all ive had is indica.

Yeah, I am not saying to avoid master kush as you are right it might be good for you but not for me. Everyone has a strain waiting for them that will suit them the most and thats why I like to change strains all the time to explore the varieties and get to know what suits me best. Has anyone tried the high CBD strains such as Cannatonic or Harlequin? They should be true anxiety killers.

i like maui wowie..... people usually say 'indica' but the sedating effect could make you feel like your not in control... so I like a little sativa.... hybrids, yeah...

with the maui it's just like sands down the edges in your day... very relaxing and similar to a day at the beach.

One of my top 5 strains for sure.

Same issues here, it is amazing how many people suffer from this. Growing some of DrGr. Oh!Zone, really hoping this is what it claims to be. Just wish I could smoke and not freak.

I also planted some Sweet Tooth and Sweet Dreams this year, but looks like massive crop failure here, most everything drowned in contiued rains.

Also had some ChemoIrainian and NL x Skunk, but same issues there, too much rain.

I suffer from General Anxiety Disorder, Severe Depression, Insomnia and at times some crazy Panic attacks. I have tried all the meds the docs wanted me to and yes some helped but the side effects were too much to handle. I have been experimenting with growing different strains and have found that Automaria has helped me the most. I bought seeds because I wanted the quick harvest and didnt have space for a normal grow. It worked really well and am now on the search for a normal strain thats similar. I read that it was a ruderalis Crossed with Afghan Indica (funny cause Afghanistan is why I feel so fucked up) so I decided to try it out. Come fall I will report back with the results.

too many to name ... too many resources to choose from. Strawberry strains are a fav. My last grow of Hammerhead ( Medicine Man x White Rhino) had a great high that didn't induce anxiety or overwhelming feeling of sedation.
I too suffer from anxiety and panic disorder .... the same strains that help can turn on me sometimes, but i think it has to do with environment mostly.

i used to have the same problem, however i found that no matter what weed i smoked i ran into the same issue, i ended up trying to convince myself that i didn't have anxiety, and it worked :/.

just kept telling myself it was all in my head, relaxing techniques i.e meditating, reading, w/e calms you down helps..
