That Hamm's commercial is great.

In the 70s my dad was in San fran on business. He went to a bar next to his hotel and asked the bartender what he likes to drink. The Scottish bartender said, "Amms. I like Amms, best."

So my dad drank a few and liked them. The next night he went in the same place and asked for a "Amms.'
The bartender looked at him like he was crazy.

WTF is Amms?

My dad went on to explain that he had a bunch of Amms the night before.

"Oh," said the bartender, "Hamms."

Shit... I just remembered that it was looking really stupid here last night. I just found so etching better to do. By now, all the good parts are gone. What happened?

Sierra nevada sucks!
Sort of like Primus?

In the early 1990s when I was in college Sierra Nevada was about it for craft beer and I thought it was quite good.
Now that I am spoiled with IPAs that are amazing, SN tastes kind of pedestrian.
Their stuff all kind of tastes the same. It is not bad, but there are a lot of better breweries.

Last night after margs and Mexican food I drank about 10 Kirkland (costco) Light beers.

First, lol at the can. (and lol at me)
It tastes like Coors Light with more corn in it.
It costs $22 a case.

You sound to be about the same age as me. I can agree with what you said. I would add Red Hook right next to SN, to craft beers that started the whole microbrewery boom. I guess I have to add SamAdams too. IMO, if it wasn't for SN, Red Hook, and SamAdams, most craft beers out today, wouldn't have had a chance.
I love trying new beers, but there still is no craft beer out there, that I can pound like I can SN's pale ale. I use to make a pretty good clone of it. Never did culture their
yeast though. I really need to bust out the equipment soon.

Best beer? Doesn't exist

While partying on the river yesterday, I drank a 12pk(at least) of coors light, and at least 9 SN pale ales. :-)

Edit: Actually come to think about it a little more, I drank way more than that yesterday. :-D

Yep, I preferred Red Hook over SN. Most bars in my town had the two and shitty beers.

The best (extra) pale ale now?

I had a Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Extra on tap last night. It was great.
San Diego is putting out sick beer.

If you are ordering a Lagunitas Lile Something Something make sure to wink afterwards. That server (correctly) thought I am a perv.

HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF FUCK

If you ever find yourself in Minnesota there are two things you need to do.

1. Go to Surly brewery and drink some Todd the Axman (and others)
2. Run screaming for the airport.

Todd the Axman is one of the best IPAs I have ever drank. It is not really complex. It is a hop bomb (about 7.2%).
Really fruity, with a Fruity Pebbles finish.

Surly is one of the best breweries in the country.
They have not put out a mediocre beer.

(A more widely available and possibly better IPA than Todd is Two Hearted from Bell's. )

I'm smoking Pineapple Kush, so that's the best weed. And I'm drinking a Raging Bitch, because I am one... and it was in my game-room refrigerator, next to the Blithering Idiot.

Are you strictly beer people, OP? Drink anything stronger? I'm kind of a bourbon guy. I've been into this stuff recently. Van Winkles. Really really smooth.

Aye, Poppy, so good.
I avoid brown liquor now as I tend to get wrestley when I drink too much.
Love Poppy, gotta limit myself to two.
