Where does the air flow in that ballast? You say it stays cool and im not doubting you..but I didn't see any fans...just curious
Apollo one for example has a tiny fan on each side for airflow

Not sure about the air flow, there aren't any fans I'm thinking the fins keep it cool.

fir3dragon is very right regarding rf interference it can be a real hassle, my internet tv and radio were all affected with a 'budget' ballast and I was seriously concerned that the neighbours was too , so I changed to magnetic I was that worried. The next digital I buy, I will ensure that it doesn't give off rf.

big fan of lumatek! used then for years and they are great dimmables. Have hotstarted numerous times with no problems afterwards. Years of use, fair price. From what I've heard, good customer service. Just my expierence, hope it helps!

lumatek 1000w digital dimmable. cool, lightweight, and supercharge mode.
Got a Lumatek 1000W without fan. Apparently thats the better one. Its the only ballast ive had. It's obviously completely silent and operates at high temps. Best to go for quality in my opinion. Why risk it. Apparently Solis Teks are the best Lumatek second.

I've had good and bad with Ipower.

The first one been running for over a year with no problems. Has a fan and runs warm but not hot. A pocket radio picks up interference in the grow room but not outside of it. Never had a problem with it affecting my cable/internet.

The second one I bought recently when amazon had the cool-tube sets on sale for cheap. I sent it back because it wouldn't dim and its replacement has the same problem. Its slightly different cosmetically from the old one and must be a newer version.

Apollo 600 and Thunder 600 here..

Got the Apollo September 12th and it is still going strong!!

Got the Thunder October 8th and the ballast started eating fuses today. I am waiting for a response from Thunder. I can pick up another Apollo ballast for $99.99 with my Amazon prime account so I might do that and have the repaired/replaced Thunder as a backup.

Edit: Hydroponics Pro has E-mailed me asking for the ballast to be shipped to them and they will ship one out the day they receive it!
