Best air pumps

hey RIU was wondering what pumps are you guys running for dwc? I was looking at purchasing either getting a eco plus 5 or vivoson. Or does anyone else have a better suggestion I’m open to suggestions.

i will be running the pump to four 17 gallon totes..maybe five if I decide to add a rez tank or would you suggest each tote their own pump? I had figured it would be less energy as well as less work/lines feeding air from one pump

I suggest a reservoir and a manifold to each bucket using 1 pump. They create heat. You'll need a chiller for best results.

As for air pumps, In MY OPINION aren't needed whatsoever. They're loud and annoying. This setup has proven to me they aren't vital and that waterfalls and a constant quick movement of the water is more than enough to Max out dissolved oxygen.

If you are wanting waterfalls with no air pumps you will be looking at large plumbing (2" +) and a lot of $$ on fittings etc. Avoid UniSeals if at all possible. Yes they kinda work but suck compared to bulk heads.

As for air pumps, the king is the 4 outlet pump sold by General Hydroponic. Hands down the most powerful and efficient on the market. Run 4 buckets per pump and your in business.
I like a hybrid approach. Small pump recirculating water to the buckets with air pumping from below :hump:

OP, if you are only running 4 buckets you can cobble together something like this. I use 2 separate rezes due to separate tents, but easily modified for 4 buckets on one tent
