im down with helping

Best way to get the funds where they need to go is set up a paypal account just for this fund. Each person that donates selects the option that states the money is a gift and paypal imposes no fee's

Ive done it before, works great. Anonymity and traceability

ya Glad you should go set one up. I'm in the middle of it but its a lot of personal info that you need to fill out in order to maintain access to it. paypal can be a little tricky and requires you to call and verify that its you sometimes. my guess is its the fraud go too money exchange. it will take about 15 min to set up and cost nothing. id hate to see something get all fuddled up cause its my info in there.

Agreed. HGK is working on setting up an account. The more options the merrier, imo. If people want to use paypal they can, or they can drop off or send in cash to various spots.

Guys, just let me know what you figure out and I will update the first post in the thread with info as we go. I'm nominating Huel to help me out with collecting cash contributions (whether he likes it or not) :-)

If one of you wants to take the lead on paypal donations please do. Just pm me and Rrog the info on who chipped in and how much.

Gotta hit the garden for a bit. We have 8 people so far that have indicated that they are willing to chip in. Let's get a paypal account up and running to make this as easy as possible for everyone. Please be sure to pm myself and Rrog when you make a donation so that they can all be accounted for.

I'll check back in a bit. Let's keep the good vibes flowing here and help out a couple of good peeps!!

Glad- I can help you set up a Paypal account. You'd control it (like HGK said) so no final trnsfer to you. You just access it yourself

ya i can set one up in my name and we can just transfer later but its really easy to set up a pay pal so i just figure you might as well do it now and we will save the money to pay for the Xfer later

ok, here is the deal guys.

I initially thought we could set up a paypal account with various peeps from here having access. Only prob with that is To set up a paylpal account I have to enter some sensitive info: Full name, address etc. I dont have a problem managing this under my name but, I not super excited about my personal info being out there.

So, one of two ways to proceed.

1) I can set this up and I can manage this: I am kinda new around here and totally understand if this makes anyone uncomfortable... I am only a couple steps away from being done with this portion and can start accepting donations. Again, this would be under my name with my financial and personal info in the profile.

2) Stow: If you want, you can PM me your full legal name, I can put in some bogus address. I can then complete the profile, send you the log in credentials, you then can change the bogus addy to your actual addy, add your financial information and manage the process.

Either way I am good, just wanna help get the ball rolling...

Just let me know

These guys have been more than generous with their time, information, and help and I hope this will all come back to them now. I would like to chip in some cash to help them out, and I know others have expressed the same. If you can afford $100, great. If it's only $20, that's great too. It all helps.

I think this should be kept somewhat anonymous so that people aren't made to feel embarrassed out in the open if they can't afford to help, but there still needs to be some transparency so that we make sure every penny gets to glad and belle. I was thinking of maybe something like sending a pm to two designated people if you are chipping in. Those two people can compare notes and make sure the running totals match, and we can designate a few strategically located people to collect some of the money. I also know people that have storefronts throughout the metro area that could be drop off locations for cash. I'm sure the peeps at the gardenclub in AA would be willing to be a collection spot as well.

Toss some ideas out there if you have them, but we need to get this rolling asap. Let's be generous, and keep this thread civil and on point.

edit: Please send a pm to BOTH Rrog and myself if you are chipping in here. Just let us know how much you will be giving in the pm and put "donation" for the pm title. I will update the thread with drop off spots for cash donations, and addresses for money orders or checks that will be mailed in.

I would prefer you handle this end of it if you don't mind

This can all be easily accounted for as long as people send me and Rrog a pm when they make a donation of any sort. I'm waiting to hear back from glad and belle on a date that we will wrap this up by...

Sorry everyone. Extremely busy here. Belle just left to head down to the market and garden clubs this weekend.
We have a paypal account. But looks like one is already set up.
