2 plants, day 19. Coco under a 135 watt QB. 4 gal pots of Royal Gold Tupar. Comes with perlire in so no addition. Watering with 2 ltr each of a 1 gal mix of 1 ml calmag, and 6 ml GH micro/9 ml bloom. Now i was using 1/4 tsp to measure so was going 6 for M and 9 for B. Turns oit 1/4 tap is slightly more than 1 ml. I've actually been feeding around 7/11 not exactly Lucas. My question is should i bump up the Calmag to 2.5 per gal as thats what the light green in the center of the leaves or take down to 5/7.5 M/B which is just above 6ml/9ml? Thanks for the help.

Edit- after a quick Google it looks like early Mag deficiency but def want clarification.

Most likely over nuted.
Definitely looks too damp too. The droop and wrinkle/cratering on the leaves.
The substrate looks fairly dark, and damp too.

Dry it out some.
If it starts going downhill. Give it a really big drink of water. Then follow it up with a reduced feed.

Good luck op

Yeah, i watered it last night. So you think i should skip tonights watering? Coco isn't supposed to be to dry and this coco can be watered up to 6 times a day it absorbs water pretty good. Im definatley going go a tad bit lower on the Micro/Bloom to get it closer to 6/9 instead of 7/11, and might as well just go 2.5 on the calmag too. Maybe ill just feed it lower tomorrow night and hope it doesn't progress.

Nah doesn't look like too much nutes.

Could be early calmag but what it really looks like is a PH problem. Make sure your water is the correct PH.

I run it myself too. 18L smart pots. I only water 1-2 times per day with coir.
If you can test your waste. Test your ec and ph next time.
I don't think it'll be bad. But the reading may surprise you.

I'll share a good coir article with you too.

Here's that article.
It's a solid one too.
Besides the PR lecture down the bottom of the article.

Good luck op.

Honesty incoming. I don't test ec. as Lucas formula(H3ads modified for coco) is pretty proven and as for PH i have the strios that GH sent with my Trio. While not exact, without and PH up or down when i add my cal mag/M/B my tap water always shows light yellow which is around 6.0 everyone has different opinions but what i see most for a broad range is 5.5-6.5 is acceptable and 5.8-6.0 is optimal. I think my PH is good tbh.

I also took a sample of runnoff as it drips in a container and it showed piss yellow which shows 6.5. So going in 6.0 and coming out around 6.5.

I understand.
What I'm saying is it may be worth, the peace of mind.
As the coir decomposes, it's leeching a lot of salts. Being wet all the time, is speeding up the decomposition process.
The coir, is breaking down just like compost. It needs leeching sometimes. It's why it's good to check your waste at least 1-2 times per week imo.
You might be feeding at 6ph and 1000ppm. But what coming out the bottom is ph4, and 3000ppm.
It happens very often as well.

Which would mean close to 7 no? Sounds like a little Cation buildup to me.
You get much waste each feed? 10-15% per feed?

With the GH test kit (which I also use) you want it closer to 5 (light yellow) if it's dark yellow then it's not good.

Yeah definatley. You know what a Auto pot is? Ive been hand watering still, so the casing the pot sits in is atleast 1/3 to half full after i give them a feed. I keep the pots sitting above the casings that flood the pots when its bottom feeding.
