Is it really really neceserry to give 24 hours darkness before the harvest , is it beneficial?
Best to just chop before lights are scheduled to come on from all I have read up on.

No drilling, flushing, sacrificial ceremonies. Lots of myths out there.

Kind of a can of worms subject among growers .... some will throw harvest ready plants into 1 - 3 days of complete darkness , to push resin production , however take that with a grain of salt.

But , you do want plant to keep starches at root level which happens during dark period.

I cut my autos in dark ( 3 days max ) for a totally DIFFERENT reason ...... by throwing them into solitary confinement, I can chop anytime of day or evening. So no trying to cut before lights on bullshit .... it’s whenever I feel like it because they are in a static dark period. I notice more fragrance sometimes , but I also keep humidity down even in dark.

Even on occasion , let them go dry “ in pot “ so I get drying cycle started ( plants are wet trimmed prior to dark ).

If you can take them down before lights on , then that’s good enough.
