what i do find works best leave moth balls and ivery soap out in little cubes most aimals will leave it alone after that unless you uses fish or bone meal fertlizers

well im planning grow 6 plants in 10 gal smart pots with ocean forest fox farm with maybe 45% more peralite so i wont have to go out there to much. how much water. i think ill put chicken wire or something to protect or use human hair from barber shop.

lol get your hands on water gell but im telling you now its worth digging pots get heat under them roots hate it and the size of your plant will be extreamaly restricted by the pots dig big holes its worth it makes the diferance between 3-4 oz and 1-3 pounds
