The Michigan State Police says members of the Southwest Enforcement Team executed five search warrants in Battle Creek and one in Sherwood Township on Thursday. Police say that the warrants are the result of a several month investigation regarding the sale of marijuana from a dispensary in Battle Creek. The raids took place at the residences of four suspects and an indoor marijuana grow operation associated with the dispensary. Police say in all they found 32 pounds of processed marijuana, 207 plants, marijuana "medibles," hash, oils, waxes and power cocaine. They also seized grow equipment, three vehicles and $201,000 in cash. Police say their investigation is ongoing and a report will be sent to the Calhoun County Prosecutor for criminal charges.

Section 4 of our Medical Marijuana Act, you know that section titled "4. Protections for the Medicinal Use of Marijuana", clearly mandates a presumption of innocents in relation to patients and caregivers. How is it then that all these gangs of state LEO agencies are running these months long stings aimed directly at MJ patients and caregivers without being held accountable to either the letter or the spirit of this law?

Equality of legal council under the law WTF

we're in Michigan
-we have equality

...how much can you afford?

"how is it these LEO agencies comin after us?"

---we gave them the $$

...10mil...they used 3mil against us-
-not to help us and the program
...to help 'their' program

....guilty until 'we' can pay the lawyers and prove our innocence
....nice fuck you clause in the fine print of the law the lawyers put in there for themselves

....burden of proof is on us
-arrest proof--or conviction proof...what would you like to purchase from them?

-how much justice can you afford?

(the lawyers set it up that way by design) [u didnt think they would let us have any rights without 'paying' >them< first did you??]
thats what norml and the other 'group' was all about always

why did you think they told everyone to 'stand-down' when everyone wanted another big protest at the capitol?? ...they we're still working out the details of 'our rights' with the legs-

remember-
its only 'illegal' if you get caught --same as before

...only now they have us all on a list (the dialectic)
the equation is: thesis...antithesis....synthesis!! voila! problem solved! (for them)

just grow your own and you wont have to worry too much depending on where you live
...be careful 'as before the law' tho if you are trying to make $$

just understand there are many thousands of 'dealers' now as compared to before our law
-lots more lattitude if you dont take it for granted---and never never never mx green and 'white'--bad karma --the plant dont like it or will tolerate it

stay invisible and stay safe--
-you can 'sell' to5pts that is all

unless your a dispensary with a cpu lawyer and radio show

You would think that 5 years into this act at least one brilliant pro bono mind in Michigan would emerge to protect The Peoples rights putting an end to these games once and for all. Surly the disconnect between military assault teams raiding patients and caregivers homes for the bounty of forfeiture based on federal mob/cartel precedent causes concern with all Constitutional lawyers, except the two currently in charge :(

Whom are the top lawyers in this state representing The People over the past 5 years and what is their greatest accomplishment/legal argument?

well....we all know 'their' names-

---I hate to tell u this but $$ is a lawyers "religion" --[and politicians too]
--'pro bono' is "bad" word among legal circles (sacrilegious)--especially when theres $$ to be made

pro bono lawyers are out west-where the patients have dictated the law...and the lawyers have to follow ---> them

they allready saw that 'movie' long before it came here so they had plenty of time to plan ahead

I hate to say this also but mR C "failed" epically to lead all the pts following him and looking up to him anywhere---(as much good as he 'did' do-)

we need a 'phoenix' to rise from the ashes and unify us all and lead us towards defence of what little is left

--but the bricks are comin down one by one and they know it--look at all the local initiatives won by a mandate (read whitmer article)--shes a true advocate for us...if even passive but still a voice

St. Thomas More's reincarnate Sanford Schulman. The lawyer who got his client 2 years probation for 8k plants. I am
still pretty confident he had pictures of the judge in bed with a dead hooker.

Anyone see a cat like Bill McPike around this state anywhere? Maybe someone from outside of the MJ movement whom is retired, competent and willing? We need to find and help someone like that ...

From McPike's web site:
FRESNO COUNTY - 600 MARIJUANA PLANTS AT 3 LOCATIONS - 6 FELONIES - DISMISSED AT PRELIMINARY HEARING
KERN COUNTY - 150 MARIJUANA PLANTS - DISMISSED AT SUPPRESSION HEARING [2008]
PLACER COUNTY - 10 POUNDS DISMISSED BEFORE DEMURRER WAS FILED [2010]
MENDOCINO - HASHISH DISMISSED BEFORE DEMURRER WAS FILED [2010]
AMADOR - HASHISH DISMISSED BEFORE DEMURRER WAS FILED [2005]
LAKE COUNTY - 500 PLANTS - NO CASE FILED

Not to shabby, if we went to court together though they would think I was the lawyer and he was the defendant. lol

My father's best friend was a public defender with dreads down to his azz.

Yellow slumdog^^^^cant read it +rep tho
he gives out a client handbook when he rerpresents you...reads like an mmj novel--

there needs to be some class action lawsuits for violations of our constitutional rights under the law
Im sure the lawyers wouldnt like that tho cutting into their bread and butter

and how would that look if they we're exposd for the frauds they are-?
--patient advocates?? ---pfffffft!!! --- (for a price$$$)

they would rather see the dispensaries get all the 'play'
....more $$ in it for them--more profitable
...and they get to keep fleecing pts too!

---you know what kind of 'legal' fees they get for helping with the very expensive dispensary applications?? ---->>>>$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!

a lot more than they get/got for helping sell us and our rights out --

....afraid they have changed the law and ruled so much against it tho it might be impossible-

-they are going for "repeal" out west---

....the feds want the $$ for them and their friends tho...from both sides ...legal/illegal (dialectic)
that way they'll control ALL the drugs...cocaine ..heroin...mj

they just need legalization to bring budweiser and rjr online for the big $$--they been working on this dialectic for over 20yrs ive heard...

guess where mcpikes gonna be THM13---?
he represented someone i know-- not around here tho

http://theemeraldcup.com/event/2013-panelists/ ...yeah you guessed it

that guy is as amped up in court as he looks-

The background of his site was black with yellow writing. The moral of the story was many plants, no jail time.
I would think it could effect a jury in a good way if my lawyer looked like a certified bad ass and I looked like
sunday school teacher.

Please, please, please if you are providing medical marijuana to patients then please leave that bullshit out of the mix........... Nothing good will come of it for yourself or the patients you are helping............

I don't know all of the laws regarding MMJ in Michigan, but were these people in compliance with the law? The plant count seemed reasonable, the dried/cured seemed a bit high BUT having $200K laying around made me pause......

Well, they had a dispensary so it's obviously not in compliance. Say they were legal and they had a perpetual harvest using lean production techniques to harvest and sell 15oz/day they would make that $200k in a matter of months though.

Cash laying around tells me that it's not a case of "we forgot to make our bank deposit yesterday" but more of a "we are trying to circumvent the system that sooo many people worked many years to get in place".

Certainly looks like attempted tax evasion to me.
The rest was just hypothetical because they're outright illegal. I was saying that, hypothetically, if p2p or dispensaries were legal that kind of money could be easily made while never exceeding plant counts or weight limits of just one person.
