Basic Hydroponic and Technaflora Questions

Hello all, I have been trollin around a bit in here looking. I guess I'll just start from the beginning. I'm an organic grower using the BioCanna line. I have used FF and Canna in the past and am familiar with pHing and ish, but my mentality with the way I grow is completely different than that of a Hydroponic grower, and I realize that i am missing some of the basics, so I thought why not come to the experts. :P

I am going to do a small run in an Ebb and Flow system to get some experience with Hydroponics and and further my understanding of growing cannabis. :leaf: The nutrient line I am going to use is Technaflora, following the recipe for success. The first question I have is in regard to switching from veg to flower. It says to switch to flowering nutrients right away. All other lines that I have used previously have a buffereing period where you will use the veg nutrients for first week, and then at second week, you run a half veg and half flowering nutes and work up to full flowering nutrients. I was wondering if this is how this line works also, or do I just follow the recipe and be successful, lol.

The second question that I have is about raising the EC and PPM in my reservoir. I have never really heard how people check this. I have a tri meter which I don't use honestly, because I do not pH in my Organics run. I was wondering if I would say fill a 55 gal jug of water. Then in say a 5 gallon bucket of water, mix all the nutrients and slowly add them in, raising the PPM and EC of the water until it reaches a desired point and then pH it, or would I just add 55 gallons worth of each nutrient to the resevoir and then pH it and call it good.

Thanks for the info and taking the time to help a brotha out. :P

Hey bro i got the answers lol first off theres no transition just follow the resipe to the letter! And you will be fine!
For mixing just fill your res, throw boost in first then the rest, wait ten minutes check ph adjust, then check again
30min later you might need to adjust again then let it flood, i use the bc line with ever a issue

im using the recipe right now on a barneys lsd and a serious white russian the lsd seems to have loved the recipe full strength from the start, my white russian tho got nute lockout in its second week at ful strength, i flushed for 3 days and brought my ec to 1.7 and 900 ppm and the plant is much happier now. its an awesome lineup so far and cant wait for the next run on my grapefruit diesel cuz now im dialed happy growin

technaflora is good shit, used it on my first ebb/gro run since it came with the system. very easy to follow, they really made it super user friendly. if anything, i would maybe add some silica. i found the silica to keep my ph steady.
