Basic Flower Nutrients

Hey guys im new to this site and technologically disabled, not the best combo for finding information. This is my first time growing in a tent and not on my farm so ive never had to worry about this before. I am growing in low nutrient soil.

I am looking at getting flowering nutrients with an N-P-K of 3-8-8. Is this a good basic ratio for flowering? I just get thrown off as some 'specialized' cannabis nutrients vary so much. If someone could direct me to another thread covering this or give me a short answer that would be great, cheers

Man, any set of nutes works. Mineral salts are mineral salts unless you're looking to go organic. You need calcium and magnesium unless those are included in what you buy.

You don't want a lot of nitrogen in flower. Just use a fraction. The Micros will have nitrogen and usually more than enough. So will your cal mag.

Many ganja growers use the GH Maxibloom as a stand alone nute for the entire grow. It's based on a scheme referred to as the Lucas formula.

I agree with JohnDee. GH MaxiBloom from start to finish. I only add Silica Blast for strong branches.

Hey Mick, started following you from another post where you were discussing feeding in coco. Question: so you only feed GH Maxibloom, and you do two feeds a day on established plants? How many mLs nute per L water? What's your PPM/PH?

I just spent entirely too much time computing what rates to feed the Fox Farms line to match the recommended GH coco rates, and honestly, I'm tired of tracking so many different nutes and scedules constantly changing.

I use the KISS method with the MaxiBloom - 7 grams (approx. 1 tsp.) per gallon of tap water is full strength and I adjust accordingly depending on the size of the plant. I have never owned a ppm meter or pH meter. I use the pH drops and make sure it's yellow, which puts it about 6.0.

There are a couple of alternatives that are just as simple. GH FloraNova Bloom only or GH Flora Series - Micro and Bloom only - no grow. I plan on using all three - MaxiBloom, FloraNova Bloom, and Flora Micro/Bloom on my next grow as an experiment to see which one is the best.
