Congrats on your harvest, HUGE cola! Would you say the taste of your LSD reminds you of anything like pine or citrus?
Thanks, yea it looks so beautiful. Yes it definitely has a piney citrus taste, 100% correct on that. It's very strong. I let my buddy smoke some so I could get a good unbiased smell and it was great, really grabbed my attention hehe. When I smoked, the high crept up on me and stayed for a good while. It made me feel warm and happy. It really had a relaxing effect on me. I'm pleased with it so far, everything except the flowering time.

I just revisited the writeups on my current strains to check on photoperiods etc. Funny..they list the BF LSD as short to medium flowering time LOL
Man, you guys want to try an awesome strain check out the Afrodite from Kannabia. I got one seed as a freebie and grew it out my crop recenly chopped. Very, very nice strain. I like how it grows, smells, and it kicks ass.

My LSD is just a bit over 8 weeks and is starting to turn amber. It's about 15% amber 85% cloudy right now. I don't think there is any way I could let it go 90 days.

Ok all 4 of my LSD have grown different- so from all the comments and my own observations i would say these seeds have varied pheno's, and the way to grow it best is plant a bunch and then find the one(s) you want to keep as a mother- otherwise you can get something short and fast and compact or tall and fluffy and slow and everything else inbetween.

I'm going to cut down one of my LSD today at about 8 and a half weeks. I actually already cut off a couple top bits because they were riper than the rest. It's short and very dense bud with not many hairs. Just fat fat cells with short hairs here and there look. Right beside it is a tall plant that has so much hair that its hard to see the bud under it. It looks like it needs no less than a week to ripen and possibly 2 weeks. That's to have milky triches too, not amber.
then I have another with got really lanky and has dense forming fat celled buds but they are more stretched out so it's not as dense as the first one i mentioned. It looks like maybe a week or two left as well. It did something really wierd, which is at week 6 or so of flowering the tops of the buds stretched and stretched. The wierd thing was it was in the best spot for light under a 600w hps so it wasn't lack of light. You could see giant gaps in between the giant single cells where heaps of 'bud stem' was exposed- i'm talking like up to over a CM of stem then a cell that was the size of a pinky nail then another gap and cell etc. Right as i was thinking i might just cut it off then i see more flower cells growing out of the big cells! I haven't seen this before and none of the others did it. Now as this point a few weeks after it started the gaps are closing between the fat cells because each one are exploding out with a clutch of flower cells and hairs.... it's like it went back to week 2 mentality and stretched out and re-buded.

Anyway it has turned out not bad but very varied. If you buy this seed you won't know what exactly you are getting, but if you buy enough you will be able to pick the variation you prefer.

did you get any phenos that had haze catpiss & grapes odor? i only had one bean and it was the most compact regular i've grown so far. it was beautiful in flowering though... a deep olive green with frosty white crystals.

I bought one of the cheap ebay microscopes. I paid a little under $5 for a USA shipper. If you don't mind waiting, the Hong Kong ebay stores have it for less.
I got it and it works pretty slick. The built-in LED light is a must as this is designed to be about 1/4" inch from the subject, so light would otherwise be blocked out. The only thing I would do different is probably get 45X instead of 60X. The trichomes are huge with 60X, but 45X might be easier to use. Kind of hard to view an actual plant, easier to clip off a little tidbit and put it on something flat. I think I will order one of the 45X. For this price there is basically nothing to lose.

I'm not sure I want to wait for clouded amber trichomes because I am not a fan of couch-lock.

It may differ from person to person due to vision but I get best results when the scope is right on the bud, making contact or pushed into it somewhat, and my eye right on the eyepiece. Nice close up shots, and on-plant is no problem at all for me. You have the telescoping part pushed all the way down right?

It has a little plastic shield that keeps it from touching the bud. I don't want to get sticky resin on the lens. It does focus fine, but a little less magnification would give a little more depth of field and I could see more trichomes at once.

UPDATE: I just ordered a 45X version on Ebay for $2.36 with free shipping. This might take a couple of weeks to arrive from China. I picked one of the top rated sellers so hopefully it will ship a little faster. For this price you can't go wrong. What might be cool is a good USB microscope.

Hey F1ip, check out the writeup on Dr. Grinspoon (Barney's Farm seeds) on the Attitude site. driftwoodg first suggested the idea to me weeks ago that they could have mixed up seeds, but I just checked out the description. Seems like a very real possibility given that description and the phenos you and I got. Others have reported and posted images of something quite different.

I think LSD is much better than the Grinspoon. Grinspoon is okay but it's not their best. I wish I didn't feel like saying that Grinspoon was the least memorable strain of theirs that I've smoked.

For Barney's Farm their best is Laughing Buddha, Red Dragon and Violator Kush.
Violator Kush being the most indica punch of them all. Red Dragon and Laughing Buddha are both on the sativa side.

Well here are the other 2 phenos hanging up in the portable closet to dry. These turned out to be much more sativa like. All in all each pheno is very tasty and does the job well. Out of 3 plants all in 3 gallon pots, it came out to be 6.5 ounces dried. Not too shabby and it tastes great so I'm fairly happy with this grow. Should keep me smoking for a while, plus I've also got other strains flowering in the mean time. I will be posting pics of the L.S.D here in a week or two after it is cured a little more. The first pheno is just now beginning to feel and smoke perfect. Good smoke but too long of a growing time so I'll move on to bigger and better things until I get the urge to maybe grow and smoke some more of this strain in the future. Thanks to all who subscribed. I will have Super Skunk, Skunk #1, Vanilla Kush, and White Rhino flower journals here all started within a week if you would like to check them out. Thanks again.

Well this stuff really smokes great. Very potent, it almost seems like it smells better when someone else is hitting a bowl of it. The odor brings a smile to my face haha. Well, on to the next.....

glad I came across this while searching for a realistic flowering time for l.s.d. Im into day 57 and I see absolutely no amber trichs.. So I have 2 plants that have nice buds, lots of exterior crystals but no amber trichs. pretty much half clear and half cloudy. 2 that are growing into monsters without having any buds yet and 1 that just bugged out.. it grew tall and lanky and has small nugs all over the place. Weird strain. I began to flower at the same time too. Your final pics and opinions are helpful though. thanks to the few of you on this thread.
btw, any experience with tangerine dream? got 5 of those also.

The TD was a disappointment for me as well. It finishes in about 10 wks, but nowhere near the fragrance I had hoped for, nor is there much taste. No, I wasn't expecting it to taste like tangerines lol. And, any deficiencies could well be the op. I grew a few 2nd gen and it didn't improve.
