I germinated 6 Cookies Kush and 7 Critical Kush Feminised from Barney's Farm a few days ago. 6 of 6 Cookies Kush gerninated but 0 of 7 Critical Kush germinated. What gives? Anyone else have problems with Barney's Critical Kush?

I had the exact opposite happen. 0/10 Cookies Kush and 10/10 Critical Kush. I was pissed off because I ordered Nirvana's Papaya at the same time as the Cookies Kush and went 4/10 on Papaya with only one female! I contacted Attitude, the source of the seeds, to complain about crappy germination rates. My normal germination rates are about 80-85%. I didn't really expect Attitude to do anything, and they really didn't except for offer me some extra freebie seeds on my next order... I declined.

I think Attitude has questionable storage practices for their seeds so I wont be ordering from them any more. I have popped seeds for several of Barney's Farm strains and never had a germination issue till now which is why I think it was Attitude... But there are plenty of Barney haters around.

Where did you get your seeds?

That is so weird!
I got the 6 Cookies Kush (1 of them free) and 5 Critical Kush straight from Barney's Farm and 2 Barney's Critical Kush free from a Midweek Song order.
To be fair to Midweek Song, I germinated 14 out of 14 free Autos (7 different strains) so I wouldn't blame the 0 for 2 Barney's Critical Kush on them.
I emailed Barney's Farm today about it and hoping I get a reply. Not too happy about it because I was making plans to do the Cookies and Critical at the same time. What a bummer!

its hard to know the tudes storage methods, though im guessing since they are probably the largest seed distributor in the world & their turnover rate would mean fresh stock most the time, possibly poor germination rates could actually come from the seed supplier itself with my lousy recent experience with apothecary seeds with 7 obviously infertile pale seed husks & 3 probable viable seeds, the tude being based in uk where its fricken freezing 11mths of the yr means the beans wont be stored in a baking hot warehouse...i can imagine also how difficult it would be to be a tude worker trying to make a judgement when someone msgs them saying they had bad germination rates when the customer may have under/overwatered the beans too...it would be a hard call...but check my beans & you will see some shit from apothecary for sure(order was from midweeksong)

That's how my Critical Kush beans from Barney's looked like. Pail, not the normal dark beans I'm used to seeing. 0 for 7 germinated. If I was the breeder, any pail seed would go directly into the trash!

Had a pack of critical kush last year. Most germinated but the seedling were all tards and sickly. Had a couple other freebies, only the cheese strain was healthy and grew. I would rather grow random bag seeds than anymore barneys. The cheese was decent though, i would consider it, if someone were giving them away.
