Um you came from sex, I came from sex, we all came from sex. Why shun something that created us you close minded virgin?
Do you enjoy sex? Apparently not or you wouldnt be making stupid threads like this.
YOur sad attempt at democracy will have no effect, If you think your poll will cause people to say " well more people voted for bann the non plant sex threads, we have to delete 'em now.."

I won't vote in this poll because I have the freedom to read whatever thread I want. I have never seen a sex related thread anywhere on this forum because I haven't looked for them. I'm not interested in the sexuality related thread because I'm comfortable with mine and don't really need to be educated and don't have an interest in other folks' sex life.
Just a little constructive criticism:

It's unacceptable, not unexceptable.
It's preference, not prefferants.
It's opinion, not oppion.

I am very surprised at the responses to this thread... wow...

I 100% agree with the thread-starter. Freedom is speech... figure out what it means before you throw that term everywhere. If you want to read about porn threads or start them, go to a porn site.

I think this site has been over-run with kiddies. I'm finding that on most forums I like to visit.. wonder why...

I'll go back to lurking now.....

I agree with everyone else that if you don't want to read it, don't go to the thread. There have been a few threads where I just had to unsubscribe because I couldn't stand to keep reading it, it actually pissed me off to read the thread.

So, being an adult who is capable of making my own decisions, I unsubscribed from those theads and did not return.

If this were a site dedicated SOLEY to growing, then I would totally agree with you. But it isn't. We have a sexuality forum, a philosophy and religion, politics, music, and the forum THIS thread is posted in TOKE N TALK.

Who are you to decide what we can or cannot talk about? What are we, children? Because the last time someone tried to tell me what I could and could not say/talk about was when I was a child.

Bottom line, you don't like it, don't read it, grow up and gain some self control why don't you?

I just think this is really oh so silly.

If joe blow down the street wants to go join in on a snow white and the seven dwarfs gang bang, who are we to tell them they aren't allowed to.

As that individual has the freedom to be as sexual as their heart desires. Just as we, dare I say 'adults', have the freedom to express our sexual needs/wants on a forums section that has been specifically titled "Spirituality, Sexuality, & Philosophy," perhaps even in some sort of crazzzy attempt to inform the person what lies behind that link.

Whats also interesting, at least in my eyes, is I have always, as faaarrr back as I can remember, viewed marijuana as a substance that is suppose to promote "Spirituality, Sexuality, and Philosophy," not inhibit the freedom and serenity it brings.

Be free with your emotions, and if you are wary of the emotions that specific topics bring about, then either stay clear of them as someone with self-control should be able to do, or face them head on, and get over your anxiety.

But never, ever, attempt to restrain others from freely feeling...

And if your argument is that the sex threads should be banned just because they're not related to growing, why aren't you demanding all the other non-growing threads be closed?

The Song Title Game is not related to growing. Neither is the Biggest Thread in RIU History. Or fdd's thread about kitties. Or...I dunno, any of the other HUNDREDS of threads that have nothing to do with growing?

I mean, why don't you tell us why you REALLY want to bann those theads. Does sex make you uncomfortable? Are you personally sexually frustrated and so you don't want to hear others talking so freely about it? Because hiding behind the 'it's not related to growing' just doesn't wash....

Exactly. Yes I agree completely with this. I have had my own debate about this very thing. At first it used to make me really uncomfortable seeing any topics related to sex but I had serious issues that I am dealing with and I am aware of it. I think others may have issues and they have just not aware of it so they just feel uncomfortable and protest.

I am very glad that they had some kind of code for the avatar pics because you never know where you are going to be at while looking through the site. I would hate to be visiting my parents house go onto the site and have some of those avatars in my face.:? Thats just not cool. And for all of those with kids near by. Its just so inappropriate BUT we are all adults here or should be and if you are not mature enough to not click on the thread you DON"T want to see....then it really is YOUR problem.

I know I personally get carried away joking around here but thats just it. IT is JOKING around and is a great outlet and sense of release.
If you are offended then just don't read it.
