A friend recently ordered around $600 of merchandise from HTG Supply.
- 600w digital ballast
- 2 agromax HPS (they were backordered so one was free), growbright HPS
- SuperNova cooled reflector
- Digital Timer
- 5gal grow bags
- 4" inline fan
- 4" carbon filter
- Adjustable reflector hangers
Unfortunately when I got the order, it was missing one reflector hanger, the free bulb, the mogul socket/wiring, and one of the hook/eye packs for the hangers. I let them know and it was promptly shipped out, no questions asked.
When I put in the HPS bulb and let it run for a couple hours (I read you need to do this with new bulbs), it was making a whining/humming noise after it was completely warmed up. Is this normal?
The growbright MH bulb seemed to be running well, however there was a very, very subtle pulse of increased light about 2 times a second. After a week of use, it's now pulsing even more noticeably, and is pulsing a pinkish color.
Does this sound like a ballast issue or bulb?
