I am on my first grow and I am using a galaxy 600 watt digital ballast. During 24 hrs of light the MH conversion bulb worked just fine. Now that I have switched to 12/12 my HPS bulb won't seem to light on its own. The only way I have been able to get the HPS bulb to light is by putting the MH bulb in and letting the ballast get warmed up and then I have to swap bulbs again and hope, if it doesn't work I have to repeat the process.
This is not a ground issue or power issue, the ballast is on its own circuit with a 20 amp breaker.
This has been a huge pain in the ass, since I can't afford another ballast right now, I have to be sure to be home everytime the lights need to be turned on because I can't trust the timer.
Any suggestions besides shoving it up the ass of the person I got it from (northwest hydro repair and resale)
