Ballast Info

Alright i have been using a 600 wat mh for my veg room and the temp is always killing me i am about to start a new grow and was looking into buying a 250 mh ballest to ad to my flower room,

I would rather buy some T5 or 8 florecents for my veg room and just take my ballast i am using for my 600 wat mh and throw it in my flower room for my 250mh

So can this be done ?????? on my ballast it says it can be used for a 400 wat mh or a 1000 wat mh...... and my boy said it would be fine for a 600mh ......so will it be fine for a 250 mh ?? :confused:

thats a 400 watt ballast, the sticker is to denote which it is thats why there is the black dot over the 400, your idea of adding a 250 is good and floros will do fine for veg the more hid light you have on the flowering plants the better

Im not expert but I think it should. If it can work for a 400w, why wouldnt it handle less watts? As I said tho. Im not expert.

Like how you did your intake duct. Ive got a tent but gunna find a way to rig it so I can run it that way. +rep

The ballast wattage should match the bulb wattage. Even if it does work for a while, it won't be safe.
