Baking soda to raise ph?

I have low ph and dont have any dolomite lime, can baking soda be added to the water to raise the ph? Its in soil.

should I start with 1 tsp per gallon or so? and then just water normally?

baking soda is unstable. Go out and buy the Ph Up

are changing the ph of water or soil?

Not only is it unstable it also causes calcium deficiencies if used to much.

Baking soda does the trick in a pinch, but should be thoroughly flushed out with properly ph adjusted water asap for the reasons mentioned above. one bottle of ph up will last a long long time.

Need to change the ph of the soil. Cant go out and buy ph up no place to get in my town

thanks the nearest pet store is 25 miles lol, but I gave a pretty good flush last night and the ph is going up so I think I just had salt build up causing my ph to lower
