I'm growing some seeds from a good smoke i had a couple days ago, I've been told its citrus but I'm not 100% sure what it was. anyway, i was wondering if leaving seeds to germ in roughly 50-60F room will kill or slow the germ? also what is the best method. should i drop in water and leave in the dark or wrap in sock in cup? sorry for so many q's but, also I've read to toss the pale seeds is this necessary? and should i plant as soon as they crack or wait for root formation? -thanks in advance

wasiest possible way to germ is to take a plastic plate(so it doesnt get soggy from the water, put 2 paper towels on top, moisten, put on the seed then 2 more paper towels and mosten again. put the plate with the seed and the paper towels on top in a plastic bag. like a grocery store small plastic bag then leave it in a dark warm place.

p.s if you spray inside the bag with water and you dont even have to water it anymore.

it takes about 18-24 hours. at the most 2 days.

i used my sock method, but this time i put the bag seeds in my computer case, they should be warm in there! hopefully the cold didn't kill em, cause its been about 3 days now and all they did was get darker. could this have something to do with me taking them out of there dark place periodically to check on them?

Only check like once a day. You do want to keep an eye on them because when they do crack you want to do something with them. Rockwool or soil.
