badly need some help (ANYBODY)

no mater what i do i can not stop alge from forming in my revs. i keep washing it out and refillimg it i add h202 3% thats all i can get my hands on but every few days 2 -3 alge starts forming all in it there is no light getting in my revs. only when i check ph or add nutes is light gettin in! im getting ready to start back to soil but i dont want to can someone please help me out with this problem?

light is getting somewhere. if not your res, through your system. algea doesn't need a lot of light to grow, and thrives in shade...

any chance for pix?

i dont have an usb cable to connect any pics but iv took em out now and put in soil till i can resovle my problem! white bubbles form around my resv. and my net pots are kind of slimy slick createing my roots to look a little brown!

If your res or hosing is c-thru this will occur.....

How hot is it inside the rez? Or what's the Rez H20 temp?

well the air it self is about 80 so i would guess my resv. would stay around 70-75! surely it woundnt got hotter then the air it self would it?

Warm water & warm air temps are what's needed for algae to grow. Try throwing in some frozen bottles of water into the rez, which may help.

dude ur res should be at 65-68f temp , u should ducktape all cracks and openings to prevent light coming in , hopefully itll keep the bastards from growing!

you prolly dont have to worry much about light coming through the net pots but like BLUEY said. you need to hurry and freeze a few water bottles and throw one in the res. keep swappin the bottles out to maintian a cooler res temp. Ii had the same problem when i first started. ever since i started adding the bottles, ive never had a problem since!!!
