Bad Smelling DWC resovoir after adding nutrients

Is it normal for the water to get stinky after I add nutrients? A few hours after I added nutes to my DWC system a foul odor has permeated my room and starting to get into my house.

Can you describe the smell? Is it just nutrient funk? Doesnt seem like enough time for algae to develop.

I've had a similar issue lately. It's not consistent. Sometimes I can go the whole week and at the end the water will be clear and smelling fine. And sometimes within a matter of hours the water gets cloudy and smells funky. I really have no idea why. I started adding some dutch master zone recently when I refill the rez and that seems to have curbed it. At least for the last 2-3 weeks I have been using it.

EDIT: I'm using GH 3 part nutes, RO water and some cal-mag +

I know you're new so don't take offense to this, but this is a 5 year old thread buddy. Not really gonna get much of a response here.

Once you mix your organic fertilizer you basically have 24 hours to use it. So letting it sit for a week is where your smell came from. Don't do that again and you should be fine.
