The bud I have now makes me feel paranoid but not that extreme. Ill get baked and go surf and I feel like there are sharks swimming under my feet. and makes me sketch about cops which is normal i guess

I was wonderin if anyone else has ever had bad effects like those from smokin weed. Also I was wonderin if theres any way to stop those bad effects from ruining my high. I love smokin weed but lately the bad effects outweigh the good effects by a lot.[/QUOTE said:
try smokin in a really secure comfortable place while your already relaxed

When I first smoked I had difficulty swallowing and started to panic.
Panicking made my first experience even worst.
Breathing felt so heavy and I feel so light headed.
Luckily, I was with a veteran smoker who immediately gave a glass water before I freaked out.
After a few minutes, I was already calm and enjoying my first stoned moment.

it happens with some strains with high THC and little CBD. Most but not all sativas are like that. Some indicas are also actually like that. THC is an hallucinogen and also a stimulant, CBD is a downer. Hallucinogens can be classified as deliriants, dissociatives and psychedelics. Cannabis/THC can be mildly psychedelic in high doses, but other cannabanoids can block THC and make you feel tired, lazy, and mellow. THC will make you feel up, high, energized. That triggers adrenaline to go, and a panic attack is caused by a flood of adrenaline. THC is mainly a dissociative and so when you feel adrenaline, you start to panic, and the dissociative effect amplifies that feeling and sometimes feels like it won't go away. I usually just got with it because I know it's just a reaction and will only last a couple of hours, but it can be very intense sometimes because of the dissociative effects.

i like that but as you have found out, it can really bend your mind. Me, I like having my mind bent but, if you aren't expecting it or trying to be social it is really awkward and you feel panicky.
