Bad buying experiences on Instagram

I think we can all agree somethingaboutgenetics (SAG) on IG is a POS. He is gone now so, this is not so much a warning, but an IG username to start this thread. if you don't know the story, it's in the greenpoint seeds thread and in the Buyer Beware thread.

from time to time i read of people getting ripped off on IG.

Let's face it, IG plays a big role in the cannabis world and being able to talk directly with, follow and see future planned drops of breeders is awesome. not to mention the bud porn !!!!!!

anyway, i thought it would be nice to have a common place for people to reference.

so if you have been cheated, lied to or ripped off in instagram, spill the beans here...

Ive been lucky on insta, i only do business with a few people there, most of them are either people i have met in real life or friends of people i have met, a lot of them are on here or used to be quite a bit, point is find a group you trust and don't be afraid to ask for help. Also avoid copycat genetics, and any pop up mom site claiming to sell the hot new clone, its probably counterfeit and covered with mites. Go to a couple cups and network a bit, meet people who work with or are breeders you can speak to and get a sense of what type of person they are, and whenever possible pay the guy with dirt on his hands, that guy will probably come through for ya

InstaGram is not made for selling cannabis products, but you wouldn’t think so. I can’t believe all the fools giving Zuckerberg all that data. Absolute insanity, to me, that the least deserving company possible is getting massive amounts of data from the cannabis community on IG. I use social media, but I am careful to limit how much it can use me.

Your data is their product. You are the product IG is selling. IG is Facebook, by the way, they own it.

Do you really want Facebook to learn enough that someday they become the Taco Bell of Weed? Fuck that. Think ahead, stop giving your data to these nightmare dystopian companies without considering the costs.

Companies that take the time and do the work, and spend the money, to have their own website and sales platform have real skin in the game, at least.

The barrier to entry at IG is too low, scammers will flock there, it will never stop.

I got ripped off by seedmart he also has account called seedmart 2.0! Hit her up and and she sent me a list on IG. It's supposed to be a woman but when I Zelle the money it was a guys name! He/she said that's my husband and go ahead and send so I did. That was a red flag but he assured me he was legit! The deal was to good to pass up so I sent the money he never sent tracking and stopped messaging me. So I went in his ig and starting bashing his page. He ended up erasing the bad comments I was leaving and blocked me! I sent a spam and fraud notice to ig but that's all I can do! Be careful all I wish I could find this scammer and break his legs! Pissed af but only got myself to blame for falling for his tricks!!!!!
