If you read a few pages back I posted about a flood I had in early april, the flood killed my air pump which nearly wiped out my whole garden. The pump failure was a major blow to the entire garden, and killed roughly half of my plants, including Jack the Ripper. This all happened when the JTR was only 5-6 weeks into flowering and no where near ready to be harvested. The majority of her buds were lightly trimmed and tossed in with my trim I make bubble hash from.

I did save a few select buds to cure and sample, they ended up having some of the sweetest lemon flavor/smell I've ever come across.

The reason I felt the need to test these buds even though they were a good 4-5 weeks from being mature is because I wanted to know if this JTR pheno contained THCV. THCV is pretty rare but JTR is one of the very few strains that can contain this cannabinoid in any significant amount. THCV is so rare that Iron Labs usually doesn't even test for it. Brent from Iron Labs (very cool cat) agreed to run a special test for me to see if there was any amount of THCV in this JTR cut, sadly there was no THCV found.

Hi Huel , just wondering why you are interested in finding a plant high in THCV , the synthetic version was kind of a disaster for the drug company’s , would THCV in the natural form be different ? also would it stop the high ? and if it stopped the high why would smokers even want it ? The statement about suicidal thoughts sounds a little scary . Just wondering .

Synthetic cannabinoid always seem to miss the mark, they're always missing the importance of how the natural plant works. There are 85+ naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, these cannabinoids all seem to work in conjunction with each other to achieve the total effect we are after.

Although studies have shown that THCV can actually block the effects of THC, THCV itself is also psychoactive. Reports i've read from actual smokers is that it has an extreme sativa effect as far as the high goes. People claim it has an extremely energetic high that is also extremely trippy, the down side can be extreme anxiety for some people...

If the human body is producing endocannabinoids in excess or less than needed THCV can bring a balance. This type of effect has potential to cure diseases like diabetes, where the body has trouble regulating its blood sugar levels.

There is still very little known about THCV, which is why i am interested in it. I'd love to have some first hand experiance with it and be able to provide it for other patients i know to get more real world feedback on it. [/FONT]

Well i am into another grow, this time it is 3 AK-47's, 2 Cannatonics, 2 Krishnas, and 1 San Fernando Valley OG.

For those just joining in this AK-47 cut i have been growing forever and a day. Its an overall great plant, easy to grow, great structure, great yield and super stinky!

Cannatonic is my prized CBD strain, not an easy one to grow but once you have her dialed in she is amazing!

Krishna is new to the garden, she is a clone only strain that came to me from the good guys at Pure Michigan Genetics. She seems to be easy to grow so far and has crazy mutant leaves. Earlier this year the PMG guys won the Best Indica Caregivers Cup with this strain, it tested over 25% total cannabinoids!

SVF OG (San Fernando Valley OG) is also new, it came to me from the Garden Club that we don't talk about here lol. This is a clone only strain that has won many cups and been used to breed other cup winners all around the world. She is growing crazy tall, she is current taller than my lights!

Since i am late to get started with the updates of this grow, i'll kick it off with a pic from 8-12. This was the first day of the 12/12 flowering photoperiod. There are actually 5 buckets in this pic, its easy to spot if you look at the top of the tomato cages.

You gonna keep the new grow in this thread or make a new one? Just wanna make sure I got front row seats Also, I may have found a source for my CBD strain, met a guy a few days ago, he just harvested his crop that he grew for CBD, think it was called sour tsunami, hes gonna get it tested, but the seed breeder claims that it is that 3:1 ratio of thc to cbd. So lets hope he got a good phenotype that tests well!

Not really an update, just a couple more pics i should have already posted...

There pics were taken on 8-26, which is about 2 weeks into flowering. As you can see the plants exploded with growth in the two weeks compared to my last pic. I had to stagger the buckets a little, can't get the whole room in one shot anymore. The first pic is the Krishna bucket on the left and one of the AK-47 buckets on the right, the SFV OG is sticking behind/between them, it stretched to tall its a good 2"-3" above my light. The second pic of just of my two AK-47 buckets, i love the structure of these plants, no topping or training needed!




I will get a real up to date update tomorrow, with 3 week bud shots!

Jury Nullification.... If you don't know what it is, you need to!

I swear I've been trying my hardest to get a new update with pics for the last few days but I've been stuck in court doing jury duty. Lots of people have the opinion that jury duty is a huge burden but i could not disagree more! Jury duty is a great privilege as an American that gives us the ultimate opportunity to actually bring justice into the court room. The ultimate circumstance would be if you were lucky enough to be on the jury of any sort of cannabis case. This is where you as an American have total power over the law to free anyone who is accused of a crime that unjust or unconstitutional.

I have been praying for years that i would some day be on a jury of someone selling, growing, or just possession of cannabis so i could challenge the law with jury nullification. When i got my jury summons a month or so ago i was very excited, i had planned that no matter what, if the defendant what charged with a cannabis crime i would plead that the defendant be acquitted under the laws of jury nullification. Sadly, the case i served as a juror on had nothing to do with cannabis...

I did not keep it myself but I gave cuts to two Friends. One of which just harvested, it looks amazing!

I feel the same way Huel, it's funny you had you fingers crossed on that one. It sure would feel good to cut somebody loose on the grounds you feel the law is unjust. Full-filling your civic duty regardless. Just another good citizen of the cannabis community.

Picture update!

These pics were taken yesterday 9/12, which I think is day 30 of flowering. Everything is lookin good, all the plants are healthy and green, top to bottom. I started having to string up a few branches this week from the plants packing on bud weight so fast, not even to the halfway point and some branches already need help holding their weight. Another update, today is day 35 of flowering. Nothing too exciting to talk about lately. I did lose a branch off the SFV OG, it was a lower branch that grew outside the tomato cage, it snapped off completely and was just hanging by a little string of bark. Other than that i've been continuing to string up branches daily and everything is lookin good.
