Back at it! 2x2 Grow Tent

Hey all!

It’s been 7 years since my last grow where I did a 3x3 tent with 600w Mh/hps.

Now I’m trying my hand at this thing again with a budget grow, 2x2! This is my first time using LEDs and I’m currently running a maxsisun pb1000 which is pulling around 110w from the wall. I plan on using this for veg, it’s currently a bit over the lowest output setting for my seedling. I’m also waiting for a Marshydro ts600 which is virtually the same light. It’s due to be delivered this Saturday 10/10. I plan to add that in once I flip.

The plant I’m running is a bag seed I found in some type of kush that I got while on a quick trip in Miami a few weeks ago. Seedling is currently at 9 days from sprout. Really early to tell but it’s giving me strong indica dominant vibes lol. It’s in soil, a mix of FFOF, FFHF, Black gold, And vermiculite.

Im also trying my hand at cloning for the first time, I’ve got 10 cuttings from a Bruce banner #5 which I currently had to kick outside due to mites, I treated it with neem oil spray and it seems to be fine but I may bring it back in and create a new space to flower it. I got the BB5 as a rooted clone a couple months ago but its been thru some stress due to me moving etc so it’s growth has been affected.
Hope you all enjoy the journey with me. I should be updating regularly.6BA5CBC1-4DB9-443C-95D4-AB7CC6EFC757.jpeg7FD3A597-67E7-4F27-94DB-1597D8370FA1.jpeg190635FD-7EB9-4E98-85E5-21B3831A8603.jpeg317F7822-5AA9-4EC0-9AD5-35343691B720.jpeg

I have a 2x2.5 under 130w. More than enough for my needs. Good luck and subbed
Nice! Thanks for subbing! Have you run a full grow to cure with that set up? If so how has bud density been? I heard a lot of talk about buds not being nearly as dense as with HID grows.

Anyone with experience in cloning in straight tap water? That’s what I’m trying with these clones, 8 are newly cut today and put directly into tap water and 2 were cut 6 days ago and put in the same soil Im using. No roots on the 6 day olds yet.

Thinking of making a bubbler cloner but that’s gonna have to wait til atleast next week.

All advice welcome.

I've cloned in plain water many times. Just change it daily. Or have an airstone pumping air in constantly. I always just change the water, but I'm sure the airpump would work even better and faster.

I think I’m sold on doing a Diy bubble cloner. Considering also making an aeroponic one as well and see which is better. You guys consider tryin these things out?

Update:

After much consideration, treating and inspection, ive decided to bring the Bruce Banner #5 lady back inside.

It was way too late in the season for her to be out there anyway and temps are getting lower so it was only right. I felt really guilty. I know there may be a risk of pests in the tent because of it but im gonna be really vigilant.

Also made a bubble cloner. Will Be working on it more tomorrow and make it a lot better than this current prototype. I’m waiting on some more supplies to arrive tomorrow for it.

Any advice here?

The BB5 is not keeping well. Very lime green in color. I checked the runoff ph today and it came in around 4.6, I water it with filtered water at 6.8 ph. I flushed and it came up to 5.8.

Im really losing hope and patience on this plant, I’m not sure I can save it.5D4F33A8-717A-4469-821F-4D28A3467FEF.jpeg

Thinking it may be nutrient lockout, although I haven’t used any nutes in this soil mix. I wasn’t testing the ph before so maybe I messed up there.

Hoping the flush helps it. Really feel bad but this plant is getting on my nerves lol. Once the soil is well dry I’m gnna try giving it some regular old miracle grow plant food, it has a pretty good NPK ratio so let’s see how it does.

It’s day 18 for the bag seed. Starting to get some yellowing on the bottom 2 leaves I noticed a couple days ago. The growth seems pretty slow also.
Today I transplanted it into a 3 gallon fabric pot and a very light feeding. Kinda early but figured it shouldn’t hurt or hope it doesn’t.

my humidity was pretty low so I got a humidifier hopefully that contributes to a healthier environment and I see some turning around.

after flushing the BB5 I’m noticing some healthier looking new growth, she was in flower when outside so taking longer to bounce back to veg.
The clones aren’t looking good either .

I’ve never had any issues with yellowing or deficiencies in the past so this round is really stressing me the hell out.
