I haven't been around much lately but i do still check in to see whats going on;).
I'm gonna post the pics of my 12/12 from seed grow.Im pretty sure most here know I'm a cfl'er.I always have and am using recycled soils from previous grows that I ammend with bone and blood meals and a little wood ash.
I started(paper towel method)20 or so seeds and just put them under the lights,so they're just little sprouts now.I'll post some pics in a few.PEACE

Do you use a mix spectrum in veg? I have a few seedlings and clones in veg with 5 23watt 6500k i have a 55 watt warm cfl ? Read adding warm cfls for seedlings unfluence males whats your thought on that? I figured mixed spectrums would be better

I do... and I'd like to be using more 5000k about a 3:1 ratio since im doing 12/12fs which doesn't allow for a long veg.As much as I know light spectrum does not dictate sex either way....that's all genetics. If so we'd all be growing females;)Using a mixed spectrum of cfl's is best.

On an avg. 12/12fs run around .6-.7g almost a gram per watt;).That's all kinda deceiving because it depends on how long I veg.I've had a 5.5-6oz plant under 12-23w bulbs with a couple t5's on the sides.I've never had a full closet with all 40 bulbs kicking.:peace:
So is this actual watts used or what the cfl replacement rating is? For example 300w cfl replacement only actually used about 85w of power, so based off that are you talking .6-.7 of the 300w rating or the 85w your actually using? Also when growing 12/12 from seed, do you transplant out of your party cup at any point? Sorry about all the questions, just have seen more and more people get nice results using cfl.

I always use the actual watt rating.
I have transplanted a 12/12fs solo cup,but I don't do it regularly. Some plants can take a transplant while under 12/12,most will not and I definitely would not grow an indica under 12/12.A long flowering sativa would be good transplanted.
No prob with the ???;).I have seen a lot of good grows too with cfl. It's almost an art. It's not easy to pull off a nice cfl grow.peace
