I got my plants in there potters. The potters that I bought have a piece on the bottom that snaps into the bottom. Should I leave them snapped on tight or not? It where the water would drain too? I put rocks in the bottom before I put the soil in, also I know there are 6 holes, but only 3 are open when the bottom part is snapped in.

Similar to that one... looks like the pictures is snapped in.

dats for excess water to go into like a built in saucer bra. leave it snapped in bra when not watering.

Snapped in snapped out shouldn't matter. But if you water until it drains out, the water has to come out the bottom, then rise up to above the snap on thingy. So the bottom 1/2 - 1 inch is under water.

Explain more of your set up ad style if you need more input.

I say pop 'em out and let drain out the bottom unobstructed.

Okay, one of my buddies said to pop them and let all 6 holes in the bottom of the planter drain, then a couple people said it was okay to leave three latched in as long as there were some open holes. Like I said I have a couple inches of river rock beneath the soil to help drain the water to prevent root rot. I'm sure it is just a personal prefference thing. I am just looking for input. Thanks alot all of you! GREAT SITE.

if water stays aginst the soil at the bottom or if the catch tray fills and doesn't allow all the water to drain your asking for problems. I would take it off. Only have to water once a week or so anyway.
