I think most people would say Vector is clean enough which isn't necessarily cheap yet it is from Korea. Some head shops carry 5x refined butane but not all 5x refined butane is the same imo..

42 degrees has some sick rigs.

As for materials it kind of depends on how much you want to make. I use a stainless steel turkey baster which fits 7 grams and returns a little over a gram each time but I know some people who wouldn't want to waste their time doing such a small amount so they use a bigger glass extractor. If you're doing smaller runs I wouldn't say you need a vac pump because I've definitely made cleaner bho without a vac than some have with a vac. I would suggest a vacuum pump for larger runs.

I guess it just depends on how you want to do it. I like just spraying onto a pyrex dish but I know some people have started to spray on to other materials. As for your filter, some people use bubble bags, some use organic coffee filters, just depends on your preference. You'll probably need a hose clamp to clamp the filter to your tube.

I want to do bigger runs and don't want to be fucking with homemade junk continuously. This IS a controversial subject whether it should be or not. The consensus on the street is that bad BHO isn't healthy. And that you need to be positive the person knows how to make it. I want the piece of mind to know it is safe, and a good finished product. I also want patients to agree. I can take BHO to a dispensary, don't want to tell patients I made it with $10 worth of shit from 7-11.

....pretty sure weather channel forecasted a tsunami, heading for UP real fucking soon. (I know it's spelt wrong. So is spelt)

Sorry I can't help you with the larger runs.. I have yet to see any dispensaries/caregivers carry real amber glass that I would consider clean or healthy. Most people just whip the shit and call it purged. Just because it's wax doesn't not mean it's healthy to vape...

Pharmacoping seems to be pretty damn knowledgeable about the Tami and BHO. I need to do some reading later and find out exactly what story I need to tell airgas. He tipped me off yesterday that getting the n-butane takes a little bit. I will start working on it after my tests this morning.

Also I have been trimming like a fucker this weekend. I am freezing fresh trim. I could be wrong as shit, but I thought I read fresh trim was better than dried. (I read that laying in bed few nights ago, and got up and went downstairs and bagged that shit all up, in the middle of the night. lmao.

I will keep thread posted, about ordering the butane and actual unit, all of it. - I need to, I don't have a choice, I am not a chemist, and I have no idea what the fuck I am doing. lmao.

Called AirGas. Steve researched N-butane for me got back to me quickly. There are 4 grades:
Research grade at 99.99%, Ultra High grade at 99.9%, Instrument grade at 99.5%, and Chemical grade which is 99%.
They range in price from about $800-$300 in decending order. And also the Instrument grade isn't available in 30 lb tanks, much higher.

So I will guess at D:Chemical grade - 99% N-butane for $300? Takes a few weeks for get tank in. Is this right shit pharma? What else is needed from AirGas? The links off Tamisium site wouldn't work worth shit. I tried calling Dave the maker of Tamisium on his cell phone to get info and he didn't answer. I left name and number.

So after all this, the old guy finally said, what in the hell are you using it for? My lying days are over. I am pretty damn sure anyone that knows me or knows of me knows I grow. Including feds. Anyway I said I am student at Bay. (It's right by college). I have a serious spinal condition and I am making butane hash. Explained I am all legal and have seen too many people strung out by UP doctors. Do not want to be their junkie. He did not see that coming. He said a series of wows and no kiddings, and said to let him know and he will get me my tank. They have never ordered N-butane from this location, nor one that is close by. which should include Marquette and that kinda surprises me.

So anyway, is it the Chemical Grade N-Butane in 30# tank for $300, is there another chemical I also need?

My friends and family kept saying I was crazy as fuck wasting my money on the most expensive gear, and buying tons of shit to grow. Now they. or most of them, look at my shit and what I am doing and happily say that I was right. Right as fuck, right as I've ever been. I buy all Lumatek, Raptor, Eye Hortilux, etc, etc, etc, etc. It's all good investments. The others around me with homemade shit all produce shit. I try very very hard not to cut any corners. It's paying off for me like a motherfucker, not cash, but in everything.

I have immense pleasure in investing my money in the mj industry. I was walking the prison yard daydreaming when Belle got legal. I knew I would have my shot. I am not slowing down for shit. Don't have the time for practice runs and smoking bad bho, wondering if it's good or not.

That being said bro, what am I gonna do, buy all the shit and practice in my garage. I don't have a clue. If I was in the D, I would have you show me the shit. I don't doubt for a second you have unbelievably good BHO. I don't doubt that your BHO will be better than mine env once I learn what I am doing. I just don't feel comfortable buying a turkey baster off amazon and having three dumb asses in my garage getting ready to fucking hurt somebody. I imagine you have some of the better BHO, flowers, clones, hash, RSO, etc etc, in the entire state. I am way the fuck up here though. I have yet to meet one single grower in the UP that I want to take advice from. Blasting butane into a tube... just not comfortable with the long-distance suggestions. Any way of training plants, or topping plants. Nutrients recipes, bulbs, I'll try all that shit.

Homeless has told me about your bho. Homeless has spoken very highly of you period, as has sketchy. That is why I listen and read you posts. I respect you opinion, more than I respect my abilities with this very conversational subject.

The only thing that scares me with any method whether bho, rso is heating up and burning off the solvent. I like a vid I seen on youtube of a guy using a crockpot in an open area with a fan on low right next to it to move the fumes away as the solvent cooked off.

Glad, at what point did I tell you to get a turkey baster off of amazon? Go to okief.com and look at their tubes. They come with very comprehensive instructions on how to use them. They are cnc lathe machined stainless steel made in norcal. They have tripod legs so they stand up in the dish.

Dispensaries go wild for my bho. I just had a new one that opened in Detroit ask me for $4k worth when I have that much ready.

I'm trying you save you money and a headache man. You need to know the basics of oil before you fuck with the complicated shit like a reclaim system where you need extra solvents to collect your product. Learn how to make it and purge properly before you start a process for the pros.

Think of it as a sport. Start with a tube in minor leagues, once your shit is awesome move up to the majors.

Alright. I didn't know it had instructions and shit. All I hear is turkey basters and glass tubes. What size? What all do I need to start running? I'll order it today. I'll call in morning and tell AirGas to hold off on the n-butane and run this for a minute. If I need to step up in a few months, Santa will come holla at me.

All you need is the tube, a few Pyrex dishes and some 5x cans of butane. Any smoke shop should have fasfil 5x for $2 a can or so. Okief has multiple tube sizes, if you want large runs, get the XL. It hold 150g or so of finely ground material. I usually can fit about 130g of not finely ground, but medium ground material.

They must be good. I wanted to buy a #2 & #4. Looks like everyone else did too, they are both sold out. Ended up with the #1 to try out. Bought extra screens and stopper. I'll get the pyrex dishes and some butane tomorrow.

Almost forgot get a heating pad too. I do a hot water bath for about a half hour for the initial purge, then I put the dish on a heating pad for the remaining hours.
