I've been following this guy, John I think his name is, growingyourgreens on youtube and he says that if you build the soil you don't need extra nutes. He advises good base potting soil, vermiculite, perlite and adding rock dust and worm castings for good base nutrients. He says that you do this, whatever you are growing will take what it needs from the soil. Anybody had any luck with rock dust?

yes i actually know John Koler......he comes by my hydro store(Monster Gardens) quite often.
Rock dust is an important amendment...it's basically trace minerals and mostly micro nutrients.
John is correct....if you have a fully amended soil with proper elements you do not need to water in extra nutes.....by following this method you will get way better tasting Fruits/Flowers. Subcool(a popular grower here on RIU and many other places) also does this and calls it "super soil". i have grown this way and i have done the nutrient feeding way as well.....this way is much better for taste, smell and quality. hope this helps :)

that is so cool, I love his videos. Very smart man.

and yes, it does help! thanks!

Well I am going all soil and no nutes next time around. I knew there had to be a better way than fertilizing every freaking week. That shit gets expensive. Thanks Bu!
