So I bought a better Ph pen today and I was reading through the instructions and it says to never let the diode get dry even when storing.. I just wanted to know how the hell its sitting in its box dry?? Lol, can anyone shed some light to this?
Dont let your probe dry out it will go bad. You have to store it in something that has zero PPM like distilled water or the brand of pen's storage solution. I keep my Hanna in Hanna Storage Solution.

So once you get it wet you can NEVER let it dry again? Haha

They should come wet too. My Hanna always comes with the little plastic cap and there is always liquid in them whenever I have to buy a probe. You can let it get dry just dont leave out in the open for a day. I was replacing my probe every grow and then i said fuck it I'll buy the storage solution. So far I'm on 2 grows with this probe and counting.

Cool! I just bought a milwaukee ph55 pen. It came dry but in the instructions for first time use is putting it in drinking water, then QUICKLY to 7.01 calibration liquid and then to never let it dry out. Just seems funny I guess

Aw man! No way?? That sucks. Mine came dry and I have to soak it in bottled water for 2-4 hours to activate the electrode.. Haha, setting up the 4.01 the 7.01, the drinking water, and sitting my pen in the water looks like I am about to do a science experiment in my kitchen! haha

What... Where man?

I found a 2 light controller for about 189.99 but I would rather have a four lamp controller for cheaper....

I pulled the receipt & it was closer to $170 at GREEN LIFE HYDROPONICS(623 487 0148 ). Jimmy is the owner & is more than willing to work with you on pricing. I think He still has 15% off on first time purchase also.
